WALKING
TRAIL AT
LOCAL
PARK --
MORNING
Mike,
early
50s,
married,
with two
adult
children
one
lives at
home.
Mike is
in the
real
estate
business,
has his
own
office
which he
shares
with a
business
partner.
This
morning
he took
the day
off and
went for
a walk
in the
park.
Mike is
fifteen
minutes
into his
walk
when
another
person
comes up
behind
him and
proceeds
to pass
him,
instead
the
stranger
slows
down to
the pace
Mike is
walking
and
introduces
himself
to Mike.
His name
is
Milton.
He talks
to Mike
as if
they had
been old
friends;
however,
Mike has
no clue
who
Milton
is.
Milton
is an
ordinary
white
male
about
forty
years
old,
full
head of
black
hair,
average
build,
about
five
feet
nine
inches
tall and
dressed
in a
jogging
suit.
MILTON
Hello
Michael
Vitorino
Bolderini,
remember
Me?
MIKE
Hi...no
I don't,
who are
you and
how do
you know
my full
name?
(Mike is
surprised
and
confused)
MILTON
I know a
lot
about
you, I
have
known
you
since
you were
born;
I'm not
from
earth
I'm from
another
solar
system
in this
galaxy
MIKE
(Thinking
to
himself)
How
foolish
I must
have
looked
to the
few
people I
have
told my
experiences
concerning
UFOs.
Mike is
aware of
UFO
phenomena,
he has
experienced
strange
instances
throughout
his life
but he
is not
comfortable
with
that
aspect
of his
past.
Still,
Mike
viewed
this man
as a nut
for
suggesting
he was
from
another
star
system.
Overlooking
the
irony of
that
situation
Mike
nevertheless
has no
interest
in
talking
to this
person
and
tries
not to
be rude,
and
looks
for a
way to
get away
from
Milton.
MIKE
Good to
have met
you
Milton,
and we
must
talk
again
sometime,
but I
need to
finish
my walk
and get
back to
my
office,
have a
good
day.
Having
said
that
Mike
picked
up his
stride
and
started
running
and
after
five or
six
minutes
resumed
walking
again,
believing
that he
had put
some
distance
between
him and
Milton---but
to
Mike's
horror
Milton
had
remained
a few
steps
behind
him.
MILTON
That's
the
Vitorino
I
remember,
always
trying
to get
away
from me.
MIKE
What the
hell
does
that
mean?--Always
trying
to get
away
from
whom?
Who are
you and
why are
you
following
me sir?
No
answer
Mike was
named
Vitorino
after
his
grandfather
on his
mother's
side. He
never
used
that
name,
nor
heard
anyone
call him
by it
since he
was a
child--Mike
is
bewildered
Mike
stops in
his
tracks
and
demands
to know
more
about
Milton.
Milton
ignores
Mike's
questions
and
keeps
walking.
The
tables
turn and
now Mike
is doing
the
chasing
to keep
up with
Milton.
¬Milton
picks up
his
speed
and jogs
away
from
Mike.
Mike is
confused,
a little
irritated
and full
of
questions
he would
like
answers
to.
Milton
continues
to
ignore
Mike and
doesn't
slow
down,
instead
Milton
goes
into a
full run
as if he
had
stolen a
purse
and was
making
his
getaway.
Mike's
attempt
to catch
up with
Milton
is
futile,
Milton
is
incredibly
agile
and a
fast
runner.
Mike was
a
regular
at the
park and
became
acquainted
with
some of
the
other
walkers
and
joggers;
sometimes
they
talked
about
the
weather
or some
sports
figure,
but
never
about
space
aliens.
One of
the men
who knew
Mike
noticed
that
Mike was
running
after
Milton
and
offered
to
assist.
MAN WHO
KNEW
MIKE
Mike is
there a
problem?
Do you
need
help?
MIKE
Thanks
but
there is
nothing
wrong.
The man
offers
to call
the
police
for Mike
using
his cell
phone,
Mike
understanding
the
absurdity
of the
situation
declines
the
help.
The
jogging
trail
stretched
around
the park
and part
of it
winds
through
a
forested
area.
Milton
runs off
the
trail
and
disappears
in the
thick
brush
and
trees.
Mike
quits
running
after
Milton
about
fifty
feet
into the
forested
area
suspecting
perhaps
an
ambush
from the
possibly
unstable
person
that
called
himself
Milton.
Mike
decided
to
forget
the
whole
thing,
cut
short
his walk
and go
home. As
he turns
to go
back he
noticed
something
shimmering
in the
distance
about
two
hundred
feet off
the
trail in
the
woods.
Then
Mike
sees
Milton
standing
next to
what
looks
like a
flying
saucer.
The
craft is
circular
with a
slight
bulge on
the top
and flat
on the
bottom,
no
visible
windows
or
doors;
it looks
metallic
and
pulsates
with
assorted
colors.
The ship
hovers
about
three
feet
above
the
ground
in a
small
clearing
in the
woods
and is
bathed
by a
shaft of
glittering
sunlight
breaking
through
the
treetops.
Milton
is
waving
for Mike
to come
over to
him
without
speaking
a word.
There is
no clear
path to
where
Milton
and the
strange
vehicle
are
located;
thick
brush
and
trees
cover
much of
the area
off the
trail.
Mike has
seen and
been
inside
UFOs in
the
past,
many
years
earlier
and had
forgotten
much of
those
experiences
having
buried
them in
the back
of his
mind.
Nevertheless
he had
no
desire
to go
anywhere
near the
space
alien
and his
machine
yet he
is
intrigued
by the
sight of
the
ship.
At that
point
Mike
realizes
he
cannot
move his
feet and
a
feeling
of
despair
grips
him, all
he wants
at this
point is
to get
away
from
that
place
but is
paralyzed.
Mike
could
move his
head and
looks
around
expecting
and
hoping
to see
other
people
on the
normally
busy
trail,
but he
is
alone.
As he
stands
there
frustrated
and
terrified
the
invisible
force
that is
holding
him
begins
to pull
him
towards
the
ship.
MILTON
(Speaking
telepathically
to Mike)
Do not
resist
Michael
and this
nightmare
will
soon
pass.
MIKE
GOD HELP
ME!
Jesus
Christ
what is
happening
to me!
(Mike is
yelling
at the
top of
his
voice
but not
making a
sound)
The
trail
teaming
with
people
moments
earlier
mysteriously
became
devoid
of
people
in that
section
of the
park.
Mike
struggles
with his
emotions
for what
seems an
eternity
and
moments
before
his
lifeless
body
reaches
the ship
he
passes
out.
INSIDE
ALIEN
SHIP --
MORNING
A bluish
vapor
illuminates
the
inside
of the
craft. A
corridor
wraps
around
the
interior
perimeter
where
portholes
give a
clear
view of
the
outside
and a
wall on
the
other
side of
the
corridor
conceals
the
interior
of the
craft.
The
windows
are not
discernible
from the
outside
of the
ship.
There
are no
visible
doors
into the
craft or
into the
interior
from the
corridor.
There is
no noise
in the
craft or
hum from
whatever
powers
it, no
sound
from the
occupants
Milton
and
Mike,
and
possibly
others,
sound
outside
the
craft
does not
penetrate
into the
ship.
INT.
QUARANTINE
ROOM
INSIDE
ALIEN
SHIP --
CONTINUOUS
Mike is
standing
upright
but not
touching
the
floor---he
remains
unconscious
and
appears
frozen
with his
arms at
his
sides as
if he
was
standing
at
attention.
The
temperature
in the
room is
cooler
than the
temperature
in other
parts of
the ship
and
vapor is
coming
from his
mouth.
Milton
is not
in the
room
with
Mike,
Mike is
alone.
No
visible
instruments
or
control
panels
in the
room,
the room
is
bright
and the
walls,
ceiling
and
floor
are
white.
From one
of the
walls
emerges
a small
sphere
type
object---it
permeates
through
the wall
but does
not
create
or leave
a hole.
It
floats
around
Mike's
head and
then it
spirals
down the
rest of
his body
in a
blink of
an eye,
neutralizing
all
bacteria
as it
scans.
Mike
remains
unconscious
and
fully
dressed
in the
clothing
he had
on that
morning.
The ball
touches
Mike's
head and
he spins
like a
top for
a few
seconds
and then
his body
moves to
a
horizontal
position,
he
remains
stiff as
a board
his arms
by his
side and
he
floats
two feet
above
the
floor.
The ball
exits
the room
in the
manor
that it
entered,
only
this
time
through
the
floor
MILTON
Wake up
Michael.
(Milton
telepathically
talking
to Mike
from an
unknown
location
on the
ship)
Mike
upon
hearing
Milton's
command
instantly
opens
his eyes
and is
fully
conscious.
MIKE
Were am
I?
MILTON
You are
in my
ship
MIKE
Why am I
in your
ship and
why
can't I
move?
MILTON
You will
regain
your
equilibrium
shortly,
once
your
brain
makes
the
adjustments
that
were
uploaded
into
it--which
will
allow
you to
move
about
the ship
in what
you
would
consider
normal--in
other
words,
you will
be able
to
orient
yourself
to up,
down and
sideways--whereas
no such
thing
exists
in space
or in
the ship
even
while it
remains
inside
earth's
atmosphere.
Mike's
body
floats
down and
touches
the
floor,
Mike
jumps to
his feet
with
incredible
ease.
MIKE
Are we
in
space? I
feel no
gravity
pulling
on my
body and
I have
so much
energy I
think I
could
run a
marathon.
(Mike
speaks
as if
Milton
is in
the room
with
him, but
Mike is
alone in
the
room)
MILTON
The ship
remains
in the
park at
the same
spot
where I
picked
you up
Michael.
MIKE
How long
have I
been in
the
ship, my
watch is
not
working
and I
assume
it
stopped
when I
entered
the
ship--about
eight
fifteen
AM--what
time is
it now?
MILTON
It's
exactly
eight
sixteen
AM
MIKE
NO WAY!
I feel
as if
hours
have
passed,
you must
be
incorrect
MILTON
I never
make
mistakes,
it's not
even
possible
that I'm
wrong---only
one
minute
has
passed
since I
brought
you into
the ship
and
prepped
you for
a little
trip
MIKE
I don't
want to
go on a
trip,
please
let me
out of
here---where
is the
door?
MILTON
There
are no
doors,
you can
only
enter
and
leave a
room if
I allow
it.
MIKE
Fine,
can I
please
leave
this
ship?
Will you
allow me
to leave
this
ship?
Mike
doesn't
wait for
a
response
and runs
towards
one of
the
walls
slamming
his body
against
it, he
bounces
back and
falls to
the
floor.
He
repeats
the
action
several
times
before
giving
up.
MIKE
This is
insane
he
yells---as
he
continues
to look
for
signs of
a
possible
door---how
did I
get in
here?
MILTON
I put
you in
there
and you
can only
leave
when I
tell you
that you
can
leave.
Don't
get
excited
Michael,
you are
not my
prisoner
and I
have
every
intention
of
letting
you
out---walk
forward
and
place
your
hand on
the wall
in front
of you
and then
walk
through
the
wall.
MIKE
You are
crazy
the
walls
are like
solid
rubber
or
something,
why
don't
you push
a button
or
whatever
it is
you do
and
create a
door for
me?
MILTON
We don't
use
buttons
or
switches
or magic
wands,
although
some of
our
stuff
works
like
magic---now
do what
I said
and walk
through
the
wall.
Mike
places
his hand
on the
wall and
his hand
goes
right
through
it as if
there
was
nothing
there
but a
whiff of
smoke
and Mike
walks
through
the
wall.
MIKE
Wow! How
did you
do that?
(No
answer
from
Milton)
DISSOLVE
TO:
INT. OF
CORRIDOR
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
sees a
row of
windows
that
circle
around
the
craft,
he looks
through
them and
can see
the
trees
and
parts of
the
walking
trail,
there
are
people
on the
trail
but no
one is
aware of
the
craft
sitting
off in
the
woods.
MIKE
Why
can't
anyone
see the
ship?
---I
did.
MILTON
I let
you see
the
ship; it
remains
invisible
to all
unless I
unlock
it in
the
person's
mind, as
I did
for you.
MIKE
Lucky
me!
(Sarcastically)
Mike
walks
around
the
ship's
corridor
looking
for
openings
or doors
to the
outside
and
finds
none. He
pries on
one of
the
portholes
with his
car
keys,
nothing,
he
pounds
on the
glass
with his
fist and
even
uses his
head
banging
it
against
the
glass
but
nothing
happened.
He hit
the
glass as
hard as
he could
and it
didn't
hurt him
or the
glass.
The
portholes
are
spaced
about a
foot
apart
and he
goes up
and down
hitting
the
portholes
with
extreme
frustration---then
one of
them
moves.
He
thinks
perhaps
he
discovered
a flaw
and that
one of
the
portholes
is
coming
off its
hinge or
socket---so
he
pulled
on it
and
smacked
it with
both
fists
and then
like a
tidily
wink the
porthole
sprang
loose
and
landed
in
another
spot.
The hole
from
where it
left
fills
instantly
as if
the skin
of the
ship is
made of
liquid
crystal
type
material.
And
where
the
porthole
landed
the
liquid
crystal
is
displaced
and a
view to
the
outside
appears.
MIKE
This
ship is
fantastic,
I can
walk
through
walls
and the
windows
can move
to any
location---I
must
have
fallen
on the
trail
and
bumped
my head,
am I
dreaming
Milton?
MILTON
You did
not fall
and bump
your
head
Michael;
the
inside
of my
ship is
a
representation
of what
life is
like on
other
planets,
what
seems
magical
to you
is
common
to many
people
in the
galaxy,
you are
not
dreaming.
MIKE
So you
are
"people"
like us?
MILTON
We are
not
quite
like
humans.
MIKE
Why
can't I
see you
Milton?
And was
the form
you had
while on
the
walking
trail
not the
real
you,
because
you
looked
human to
me?
MILTON
You can
see me
if I
choose
to show
myself,
but what
you will
see when
you do
see me
is only
window
dressing,
you
cannot
see me
as I
really
am---I'm
not the
average
Joe.
Milton
pops
into the
corridor
out of
thin air
a few
feet in
front of
Mike.
Milton
is short
about
three
feet
tall,
bulbous
head,
small
holes
for
ears,
large
dark
eyes
small
nose and
mouth.
His skin
color is
a shade
of blue
with
white
iridescent
splotches,
there is
a glow
to him.
Milton
only
speaks
telepathically
and
receives
Mike's
words
directly
from
Mike's
mind,
telepathically---even
though
Mike
speaks
through
his
vocal
cords
and
mouth.
Because
the mind
is
faster
than the
mouth
Milton
knows
what
Mike is
about to
say
before
he says
it.
MIKE
Wow! You
look
freaky....and
passes
out.
He
doesn't
fall to
the
floor
instead
he hangs
suspended
in mid
air like
a puppet
on
strings.
Milton
touches
Mike's
head at
the
temple
and Mike
regains
semi
consciousness.
MIKE
Milton---you
scared---the
crap---out
of
me---and
you
still
do---what
have you
done to
my mind?
Everything
is a
blur.
(Feeling
like he
has been
drugged)
MILTON
Michael
you are
not
ready to
see me
in any
other
form
than
human
form.
Human
brains
are
programmed
that way
by us.
However
I will
alter
that
program
for
today so
that you
can
communicate
with me
without
losing
consciousness.
Nevertheless,
I will
remain
in the
background
and out
of sight
most of
the
time.
Milton
vanishes
and Mike
regains
his
faculties
and
composure.
MIKE
Why
don't
you
appear
to me in
human
form?
Wouldn't
that
make
things
easier?
MILTON
Human
bodies---and
we use a
modified
version
of the
human
body,
are not
comfortable
and they
also
limit
some of
our
abilities.
The body
I
appeared
in that
freaked
you out
is
designed
for
multiple
uses,
it's an
extremely
versatile
machine,
and
suited
well for
our work
in this
solar
system.
MIKE
That
might me
but from
my point
of view
your
appearance
makes a
great
Halloween
costume.
(Nervous
laugh)
MILTON
I am not
in a
body at
the
moment,
I am
like a
spirit,
the body
you saw
me in
that
made you
afraid
provides
a
physical
form we
use
while
around
other
physical
forms as
yourself
in our
ships.
MIKE
How do
you see
me? Are
you in
the
corridor
with me
now?
(Apprehensive)
MILTON
No I'm
not
there; I
have a
special
place in
the ship
that I
remain
in while
in
spirit
form,
but I am
cognitive
of
everything
inside
the ship
as well
as
things
outside
of the
ship.
MIKE
Are you
a god?
MILTON
No.
MIKE
How much
time has
passed
since
you
disrupted
my life
and
brought
me here?
MILTON
Three
minutes,
the time
is 8:38
AM
MIKE
Can you
speed up
the time
and do
whatever
it is
you have
to do so
that I
can get
out of
here?
Milton
ignores
the
question
and
readies
the ship
for
liftoff.
MILTON
I'm
taking
us up
into
earth's
stratosphere,
if you
wish to
watch
our
ascent
go to
one of
the
portholes.

Mike
walks
towards
one of
the
portholes
in time
to see
the
trees
and the
park
turn
into
specks,
continents
grow
small
and
oceans
enlarge---and
the ship
stops
cold
somewhere
above
earth.
He looks
at the
blue
planet
with its
wisps of
white
clouds
running
across
it, and
nearly
wets his
pants
from the
awesome
experience.
Tears
stream
from his
eyes and
he
becomes
emotional,
he
attempts
to speak
but is
choked
up with
joy.
Mike
walks
around
the ship
stopping
briefly
to catch
a
glimpse
out of
other
portholes,
each
harboring
unique
and
spectacular
views of
the
heavens.
He sees
the moon
in a new
light,
from a
new
angle,
magnificent
he tells
himself,
he looks
into the
darkness
of
space---not
so dark
from up
there,
it's lit
up like
a
Christmas
tree
with
billions
of
glittering
stars
that
comprise
the
Milky
Way.
He looks
directly
into the
sun
showing
no
concern
that his
eyes
might be
damaged
for
doing
so---he
simply
can't
get
enough
of the
view to
satisfy
his
desire
for
more.
The
glare
and the
brightness
of the
sun are
filtered
out by
the
windows.
MILTON
Have you
seen
enough
Michael?
Should I
return
you to
the park
now?
MIKE
No! I
don't
want to
return
yet.
Please...
Let me
see
more---I
want
more!
MILTON
Then you
shall
have
more,
but
first
you will
need to
explore
things
that are
locked
away in
your
head---I
will
help you
find
what you
need to
know in
order to
continue
this
journey.
Mike
remains
fixated
on the
marvels
of space
intently
looking
out of
one of
the
portholes---then
an
opening
in the
wall
behind
him
draws
his
attention.
MILTON
Walk
through
the
opening
Michael.
Mike
reluctantly
tears
himself
away
from the
window
and
walks
into the
opening---the
opening
closes
behind
him.
CUT TO:
INT.
HALLWAY
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
finds
himself
looking
down an
immense
hallway
stretching
to
infinity
with
doorways
on both
sides of
the
hall.
First
thing
that
came to
Mike's
mind is
that he
must
have
been put
into a
bigger
ship,
the
second
thing
was---rat
maze.
MILTON
You
remain
in the
same
ship
Mike and
you are
not a
rat---or
are you?
MIKE
I don't
know
what I
am, but
I'm
feeling
very
small
now.
Didn't
you say
there
were no
doorways
on this
ship?
MILTON
Maybe I
did, but
I am
allowed
to
change
my ship
if I
feel the
need.
You are
free to
explore
and ask
as many
questions
as you
wish---I
might
even
answer
some.
MIKE
Please
tell me
that
more
than ten
minutes
have
passed
since we
left the
park.
(Speaking
sarcastically)
MILTON
Five
minutes
have
passed
since I
picked
you up
at the
park.
MIKE
Now that
I'm
having
fun is
time
going to
speed
up?
MILTON
Time is
an
illusion,
created
during
the
Renaissance
as a
tool for
the
emerging
maritime
industry
and
later
evolved
into a
punctuality
issue.
In space
where we
are now
there is
no such
thing as
minutes
and
hours---which
are
simply
division
of one
earth
day
which is
a
division
of one
earth
year---the
twenty-four
hour day
has no
meaning
outside
of
earth's
surface.
Milton
tended
to
ramble
on about
things
that
Mike was
not
particularly
interested
in
because
they
made
absolutely
no
sense---the
ship
however
had
stirred
every
fiber in
Mike's
soul.
Mike
walks
down the
hallway
glancing
at the
doors,
they
looked
real,
and they
had
hinges
and
doorknobs.
The
walls,
floor,
ceiling,
and the
doors
were all
white---the
atmosphere
was
bright
but
there
was no
apparent
source
for the
light.
MIKE
Which
door is
the
bathroom?
MILTON
No
bathroom
on this
ship, if
you
should
have a
problem
there is
a
cleanup
room you
will be
taken to
by scary
looking
androids.
But
those
things
usually
only
happen
when
people
are
first
abducted
and they
loose
control---like
when you
were a
boy and
picked
up a
turtle---remember
what
happened?
The
turtle
peed
because
it
though
you were
going to
eat it.
MIKE
I have
never
heard of
a place
that
didn't
have a
bathroom---what
do you
do
Milton
when you
have to
go.
MILTON
I never
have to
go--the
body I
use when
I use
it, is
designed
differently
than
human
bodies---we
don't
consume
food or
drink as
you
do---unless
we are
in a
human
copy---but
then we
only eat
and
drink to
blend in
with
those
around
us---we
then can
chose to
use the
facilities
so as
not to
give
ourselves
away, or
metabolize
the food
and
drink
completely---no
waste.
MIKE
I guess
that
means
that
snack
machines
and me
finding
a
kitchen
with a
refrigerator
stuffed
with
food
behind
one of
these
doors is
out of
the
question?
MILTON
Are you
hungry
or
thirsty
Mike?
MIKE
No, but
what
happens
when I
get
hungry
and or
need a
drink of
water?
MILTON
We'll
stop off
at a
fast
food
restaurant;
I hear
earth
has lots
of them.
However,
you will
not need
to eat
or drink
during
your
stay in
the
ship,
your
body
uses the
minimum
of
energy,
less
then
when you
are
sleeping---and
you
already
had your
potty
break
when I
appeared
to you
in my
space
alien
uniform---you
were
like
that
turtle.
MIKE
I don't
remember
doing
anything
like
that,
and my
clothes
are dry
and
clean.
(Embarrassed)
MILTON
We have
dry-cleaners
on the
ship,
they are
open
twenty-four-seven,
and they
are
extremely
efficient,
don't
you
agree?
After
walking
for
awhile
Mike
picks a
door and
enters a
room.
DISSOLVE
TO:
INT. A
ROOM --
CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
into the
room,
lights
are on,
there is
a single
theater
seat and
what
looks
like a
movie
screen
on the
wall at
the
front of
the
room.
It is
the
first
seat he
has seen
on the
ship.
Mike is
not
tired
and
seems to
have
plenty
of
energy,
so much
so that
he is
reluctant
to sit.
He is
aware
that
there is
zero
gravity
in space
yet he
walks as
if he
were
back on
earth,
no
gravity
shoes---everything
is
normal.
He
wonders
if
perhaps
he is
not in
space
and has
only
viewed a
projection
of his
liftoff
and the
portholes
acting
like
television
screens.
Mike
steps
towards
the seat
but
before
he can
sit a
strange
creature
comes
into the
room
holding
a space
suit and
helmet.
MILTON
Put on
the
space
suit
Michael,
you are
about to
go for a
space
walk.
MIKE
I'm not
sure I'm
ready
for
that, is
it
dangerous,
how do I
know if
I put
the suit
on
correctly?
I didn't
mean to
doubt
that I
was in
space---I
keep
forgetting
that you
can hear
all my
thoughts---shit!
MILTON
Your
little
helper
will
make
sure the
suit is
on
correctly,
and I
think
it's
safe, I
guess we
will
find
out...
Mike
frantically
puts on
the suit
and
barely
gets his
helmet
on when
a hole
opens in
the room
and the
little
helper
shoves
Mike out
into
space
without
a
tether.
CUT TO:
EXT.
OUTSIDE
OF SHIP
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike is
screaming
at the
top of
his
voice as
he
precariously
drifts
off into
space
away
from the
ship.
MIKE
What the
fuck,
Milton
what are
you
doing!?
Is this
for
real?
You are
going to
pick me
up
right?
Mike
flails
his arms
in
desperation
as he
spins
slowly
into the
darkness
of
space---while
the
little
android
mockingly
waves
goodbye
from the
opening
in the
ship.
MILTON
Relax
Michael,
you are
one
hundred
percent
safe---no
one has
ever
been
compromised
on my
watch---I'm
giving
you a
few more
moments
out
there to
enjoy
before I
bring
you in
so have
fun!
Mike is
reassured
by
Milton's
words
and
regains
his
composure.
MIKE
(Thinking
to
himself)
Wow this
is all
real,
god I
feel
like an
idiot,
why did
I panic?
This is
so
fantastic
I'm
suspended
in space
outside
of an
alien
spaceship
looking
down on
planet
earth---why
me? What
have I
done to
be
worthy
of such
a gift?
Left to
drift
and
savor
his
front
seat
view of
space
for five
minutes
Mike is
about
eight
hundred
yards
from the
ship---he
can
hardly
see the
ship---and
then
it's
right
there
next to
him---the
android
reaches
out and
pulls
Mike
into the
craft,
the same
room he
pushed
Mike out
of.
The
android
is four
and a
half
feet
tall,
slender
like a
stick
man,
made of
white
colored
material
and
strong
as
Hercules.
The
android
has an
oval
head
with no
face---Mike
is
extremely
uneasy
around
it.
CUT TO:
INT.
MEDIA
ROOM --
CONTINUOUS
The
android
helps
Mike
remove
his suit
and then
exits
the room
through
the wall
taking
the suit
with
him.
Mike
sits in
the seat
and the
room
turns
dark and
the
screen
lights
up.
MILTON
Would
you like
some
popcorn
and a
soft
drink
Michael?
---never
mind
only
kidding.
MIKE
I'm not
hungry
thirsty
or
tired,
why is
that?---I
don't
get it I
completely
exhausted
myself
flailing
my arms
like a
madman
during
my space
walk yet
I'm not
sweaty
or
tired,
nor do I
crave a
snack or
drink---what
gives
Milton?
MILTON
Like I
said
earlier
you are
not
using
much if
any
energy,
however
you did
while
you were
out
there
panicking
but even
at that
your
body
didn't
burn
many
calories.
Sit back
relax
and
enjoy
the
movie
Michael.
The
movie
starts
rolling,
Mike is
one of
the
characters
on the
screen,
he is at
the
mall,
the one
that is
nearest
to his
house
and it
was just
after
Christmas,
about
six
months
ago.
MIKE
I don't
remember
being at
the mall
nor that
scene,
are you
guys
creating
stuff?
MILTON
No, some
things
have
been
blocked
from
your
memory,
for your
protection
and
peace of
mind.
The on
screen
Mike
goes to
a
bookstore
and
heads to
the
discounted
books
section
and
peruses
through
the
books,
Mike
loves to
read
about
history
and the
people
who make
history.
A woman
"intentionally"
bumps
into him
while he
looks
through
the
books,
and
excuses
herself,
"Oh
pardon
Me",
Mike
smiles
and
nods.
She then
notices
the book
he was
leafing
through
and
makes a
comment
about
it.
The
ensuing
conversation
leads
Mike to
ask her
if she
would
like to
get
coffee
at one
of the
shops in
the mall
so that
they
could
further
explore
their
common
interest
in
literature.
MIKE
My wife
is not
going to
buy this
and
neither
am
I---are
you
trying
to
blackmail
me
Milton---is
that
what
this is
all
about?
MILTON
Do you
always
talk
during
movies
Michael?
---Anyway,
you two
had a
legitimate
encounter---strictly
business
of
course.
While
chatting
at the
coffee
shop
Mike
learns
that she
has
several
books in
her
library
at home
that
would
interest
him---should
he wish
to go to
her
house to
see her
collection.
Startled
by the
bold
invitation
Mike
spills
hot
coffee
on his
trousers.
MIKE
That's
absolute
nonsense
I would
never
cheat on
my wife!
Mike is
in his
early
fifties,
and
carries
his age
well,
the
women is
early
forties
but
looks
half his
age, and
could
easily
be a
model at
a top
agency.
They
leave
the mall
together
and end
up
taking
her
car---a
ruby red
Porsche
911
Carrera.
Mike
pinches
himself
to make
sure he
is not
dreaming.
MILTON
You are
dreaming,
we threw
the
Porsche
into the
movie
for
effect,
she
actually
rode
with you
in your
car---but
you do
go to
her
apartment.
At her
apartment
she
offers
Mike a
drink,
Mike
accepts,
she
makes
him a
bourbon
and
coke. To
mike's
surprise
she lied
about
her
library,
he
didn't
see a
single
book in
her
studio
apartment,
not even
a
bookshelf.
She
undressed
in front
of Mike
while he
sat on
the sofa
sipping
his
bourbon.
Completely
naked
she
walks
over to
Mike
takes
his
drink
out of
his hand
and
leads
him
towards
the bed,
she
undresses
him and
they
make
love.
The
screen
goes
blank
and the
room
lights
up, Mike
sits on
his
theater
seat
shaking
his head
in
disbelief.
MIKE
It never
happened,
for one
I would
remember
something
like
that and
second I
never
cheated
on my
wife---end
of
story!
MILTON
It's
true you
didn't
cheat,
we know
that.
Mike is
sitting
in his
seat
when a
naked
woman,
the same
woman
that was
on the
screen
entered
the
room;
Mike
nearly
falls
off his
seat.
THE
WOMAN
Hi Mike,
are you
up for
another
round of
fun?
MIKE
Stutters
the
words,
"what
the shit
is going
on?"
THE
WOMAN
Make
love to
me
Michael,
you know
you want
to!
A bed
comes
out of
the
wall,
she goes
to where
Mike is
sitting
and
takes
him by
the
hand,
leads
him to
the bed,
removes
his
clothes,
and they
make
love.
Mike is
no match
for the
gorgeous
and
seductive
woman
and
after
she gets
what she
came for
she
leaves.
Mike
remains
on the
bed with
a
puzzled
look.
MIKE
That's
it? Most
women
remain
in bed
and
cuddle
after
sex
unless
they are
hookers---Milton,
is she a
hooker?
---if so
what is
her
purpose?
MILTON
She is
not
human
she is a
sperm
extractor,
there
are many
ways to
get
sperm
from
donors
as
yourself
but this
is the
most
effective
way and
the best
way to
retrieve
semen.
Extracting
sperm
without
proper
sexual
arousal
compromises
the
quality
of the
sperm.
MIKE
Sperm
donor? I
never
signed
up to be
a sperm
donor.
Why in
hell do
you want
my
sperm?
And what
about my
rights,
don't I
have
any?
MILTON
Your
body is
a
container
for
certain
enzymes
and
other
biological
products
including
sperm.
We store
and
synthesize
these
items in
your
body and
then
extract
them at
certain
intervals.
The body
you
reside
in
Michael
is a
product
of the
sperm we
extracted
from
another
individual
as
yourself
before
you were
born---your
body is
a
continuation
of this
type of
container---in
essence,
your
body
doesn't
belong
to you
it
belongs
to us.
MIKE
So you
only
want me
for my
body?
I'm
going to
have to
chew on
this for
awhile.
MILTON
We want
you for
your
mind
too.
Your
emotions
and
other
factors
contribute
to the
process
that
binds
and
mixes
these
elements
inside
of
you---like
shaking
a can of
carbonated
soda.
MIKE
If I
wasn't
having
so much
fun on
this
ship---and
I'm not
talking
about my
romp
with the
sperm
extrapolator---now
that I
know
what she
is my
sex life
may be
over.
Anyway,
so far
most of
my
experiences
on this
ship
have
been
mind
blowing
fantastic
so it’s
difficult
for me
to be
upset
about
anything
at this
time
including
the fact
that my
body is
being
used
without
my
knowledge
or
consent.
Mike
walked
out of
the room
and into
the hall
and
headed
to the
corridor
with the
portholes.
INT. OF
CORRIDOR
--
CONTINUOUS
He looks
out the
windows
and
notices
that
something
is
different,
earth is
missing.
He runs
around
the
corridor
looking
to see
if it’s
on the
other
side,
and what
he sees
nearly
knocks
the wind
out of
him.
CUT TO:
EXT.
OUTSIDE
OF CRAFT
--
CONTINUOUS
The ship
is
docked
to a
huge
structure
and
there
are
hundreds
if not
thousands
of
similar
ships
docked
to this
super
structure.
The
structure
is
several
thousand
feet in
each
direction
and Mike
cannot
see the
edges
from
where he
is.
MILTON
Michael,
the
portholes
are
moveable
as you
learned
earlier,
just
move one
to a
spot
above
you so
that you
don't
strain
your
neck
trying
to see
outside
the
ship.
MIKE
I can't
reach
the
ceiling
how do I
move the
porthole
to a
spot
above
me?
MILTON
You are
in space
where
there is
no
gravity,
boost
yourself
with a
little
push---the
gravity
in the
ship is
equal on
the
ceiling
and
walls as
it is on
the
floor,
you can
wall on
the
ceiling
and
walls if
you
wish.
Mike
jumps
and
floats
to the
ceiling
and
positions
a
porthole
directly
above
where he
was
standing,
then
realizes
the
ceiling
now
feels
like the
floor,
and the
floor
looks
like the
ceiling.
MIKE
Now I'm
totally
confused---where
is up
and
where is
down?---and
where
the hell
are we,
I don't
see
earth
anymore?---just
when I
think
I'm
getting
use to
this
crazy
stuff
and
enjoying
myself
all the
rules
change
and my
mind has
to make
another
reality
leap!
MILTON
In space
there is
no up,
down, or
sideways
for that
matter.
And we
took a
little
trip
while
you were
watching
the
movie,
we are
now ten
million
miles
away
from
earth,
in the
direction
of the
sun,
this
ship is
parked
on the
dark
side of
the
mother
ship---or
space
station
if you
prefer
that
term.
CUT TO:
EXT.
OUTSIDE
OF SHIP
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
looks
down
through
the
porthole
and sees
a
gigantic
large
slab
that
radiates
a yellow
glow.
The glow
is a
seven
hundred
foot
thick
film
that
projects
from the
dark
object.
The
structure
itself
is pure
black;
the
pixels
that
make up
the
glowing
skin are
balls
about
the size
of a
house,
spaced
equally
apart.
Mike can
see the
other
ships as
they
reside
in the
gap
between
the
structure
and the
glowing
skin,
the gap
is about
a
thousand
feet
wide and
the
ships
look
like
seeds on
a
strawberry
as they
clasp to
the face
of the
space
object.
CUT TO:
INT. OF
CORRIDOR
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
jumps
back to
the
floor
and
moves a
porthole
to the
original
floor
and sees
as far
as the
eye can
see---the
same
thing, a
huge
structure
speckled
with
ships.
MIKE
How big
is this
thing,
and what
is it?
MILTON
It's big
enough,
and as
far as
what it
is you
will
find out
as much
as you
need to
know
shortly.
By the
way
Michael,
the
portholes
move by
telepathy,
try it
next
time.
MIKE
I was
afraid
you
would
tell me
something
like
that---I'm
at the
fine
line
between
ecstasy
and
madness---are
you sure
I can
handle
all this
stuff?
MILTON
That's
exactly
what we
are
going to
find out
Michael.
But you
must
remember
one
thing,
everything
is
simply
information---there
is no
magic,
only
perception.
For
instance
there
are
people
on earth
that
have no
clue
about
microwave
ovens---to
them
microwaves
are
magic,
to
others
that
magic is
a simple
device
used to
cook
food
with.
Now
Michael,
go back
to that
hallway
with all
the
doors
and look
for the
green
door and
enter
it.
CUT TO:
INT.
HALLWAY
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
past
several
doors,
all
white
and
comes to
the
green
one, he
hesitates
knowing
that
it's
probably
another
test,
takes a
deep
breath
then
walks
through
it.
CUT TO:
INT.
MOTHER
SHIP --
CONTINUOUS
What he
sees
makes
him cry
and he
nearly
passes
out from
absolute
delight---the
sun
takes up
a large
portion
of the
view of
the
glassed-in
enclosure.
Every
detail
of the
sun is
visible
yet
there is
no heat
or
blinding
glare.
The
enclosure
is
several
hundred
stories
tall and
equally
as wide
and
deep, it
appears
to be a
perfect
cube.
Venus is
also
prominent
in the
view but
only the
size of
a pimple
on the
face of
the sun.
MIKE
Thank
you
Milton I
owe you
big time
for this
one, but
how can
I
possibly
ever
return
the
favor?
Is this
what
heaven
is like?
Have I
died and
gone to
heaven?
Is it
possible
to top
this one
experience?
I can
hardly
conceive
of
anything
more
beautiful---I
am
complete.
MILTON
This is
nothing
compared
to the
big
picture
of the
things
in this
galaxy
and the
realities
in it,
let
alone
the
universe
as a
whole,
it's not
even a
fraction
of a
pixel
concerning
the big
picture.
MIKE
Why are
humans
kept in
the Dark
Ages? We
believe
ourselves
to be on
the
cutting
edge of
space
exploration
with our
probes
to Mars,
Jupiter,
and
Saturn
yet from
what you
have
shown me
in the
last few
minutes
space
has been
explored
and
conquered---and
humans
for the
most
part
remain
ignorant
of
apparently
everything.
MILTON
Earth is
a
playpen
for some
and a
prison
for
others,
there
are
millions
of
similar
planets
in this
galaxy,
and the
majority
of the
people
on them
have
blinders
on, just
like on
earth.
MIKE
What is
this
thing,
what's
the
purpose
for it?
And who
built
it?
MILTON
It was
built by
machines
many
millions
of earth
years
ago, for
only one
purpose---entertainment.
MIKE
This is
so
insane,
millions
of years
ago by
machines
for
entertainment---for
who,
where
there
people
on earth
that far
back?
MILTON
For
people
like you
Michael,
and yes
there
were
people
on earth
millions
of years
ago.
MIKE
I feel
so
special---sarcasm---.
That
makes
absolutely
no
sense;
why not
let the
rest of
the
world
know
about
this?
No
answer.
Mike is
standing
on a
balcony
that
overlooks
a large
open
space.
The
balcony
is one
of
hundreds
stacked
on top
of each
other at
thirty
foot
intervals.
The
material
looks
metallic
and
futuristic
and not
something
that is
millions
of years
old. The
glass
facing
the sun
is one
solid
piece.
Mike's
balcony
appears
to be a
hundred
stories
up and
above
him
there
are
several
hundreds
of
stories.
There
are
large
outcroppings,
platforms
with
open
markets
and
cafe's.
Exotic
plants
and
spectacular
varieties
of
colorful
and
fragrant
flowers
adorn
the
balconies
and
platforms.
Sparkling
waterfalls
hanging
in
midair
and
dropping
hundreds
of feet
into
floating
ponds
are
everywhere
like hot
air
balloons.
MIKE
If there
ever was
a Garden
of Eden
it must
have
looked
like
this.
MILTON
Gardens
of Eden
make up
the
majority
of
existence
in this
galaxy
and
billions
of other
galaxies.
Milton
appears
out of
nowhere
and is
in his
alien
costume
and a
platform
opens up
from
where
Mike is
standing
and jets
out five
hundred
feet.
Shops
filled
with
pastries
and
other
delicacies
surround
an open
plaza,
the
period
is
Renaissance
Europe.
MILTON
Are you
up for a
stroll
Michael?
MIKE
I don't
deserve
this; I
have
done
nothing
in my
life
that
merits
me
having
this
experience.
The
aroma of
fresh
baked
bread,
pastries
and
coffee
fill the
air.
Mike
follows
Milton
onto the
platform
and they
peruse
the
delicacies
in the
open
market.
No
people,
aliens
or
androids
are
stationed
behind
the
stands
or
anywhere
on the
platform.
Mike
takes a
plate
and
fills it
with
pastries
and
pours
himself
a
steaming
hot cup
of
coffee
and sits
at one
of the
tables.
Milton
takes
nothing
and sits
opposite
of Mike.
MIKE
Milton,
is this
all
real, or
is it
created
by you
in my
mind or
something
like
that?
MILTON
It's all
real---mind
over
matter
kind of
stuff
just
like on
earth.
MIKE
Can I
create
this?
MILTON
"Use the
force
Luke"---just
kidding.
Not
while
you are
in human
bondage.
MIKE
I assume
because
there is
food and
beverage
in this
place
that
there
are also
bathrooms?
MILTON
No
bathrooms,
the food
and
drink
are
simply
for
pleasure
and have
no
residuals;
they
dissolve
completely
in your
stomach.
MIKE
I saw
what
appeared
to be
thousands
of
similar
craft as
the one
you
brought
me here
with
docked
to the
face of
this
colossuses
structure,
are they
all
humans
in
similar
situations
as
I?---which
by the
way I
still
have no
clue
what
that
might
be.
MILTON
About
thirty
percent
are
humans
from
earth,
the rest
are a
mixture
of
hybrids
from
earth
and
other
planets,
moons,
or space
cities,
within
this
solar
system.
MIKE
Why
don't I
hear or
see
others
on this
platform?
MILTON
Platforms
are
personal
and
private,
but
there is
an
area---a
town
inside
this
structure
where
humans
and
other
entities
can
mingle.
Would
you like
to go
there
now?
Before
Mike has
a chance
to
answer
the
platform
drops
several
stories
and
joins
with a
larger
platform
fitting
into it
like a
missing
piece of
a
puzzle.
CUT TO:
INT.
LARGE
PLATFORM
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike's
platform
with its
shops
and
plaza
incorporate
into the
larger
structure
and
become
as one.
People
are
walking
around
the
cobble
stone
streets,
peering
into
shops,
sitting
at
tables
talking,
eating
and
drinking---the
setting
reminds
Mike of
any
number
of
cosmopolitan
cities
on
earth,
except
for the
entities
like
Milton.
Mike
stopped
speaking
verbally
sometime
after he
entered
into the
super
structure
because
he felt
like he
was
talking
to
himself,
and he
noticed
that few
verbalized
their
conversations
in the
plaza
area.
Mike and
Milton
remained
seated
while
Mike
took in
the
scenery
from his
table;
he was
not
quite
sure
what to
do next.
An alien
similar
looking
to
Milton
approached
the
table
and
appeared
to be
conversing
with
Milton.
Mike was
not
privy to
their
mental
conversation
and took
the
opportunity
to get
up from
his
chair
and take
a stroll
through
the
streets.
CUT TO:
INT. A
WATCH
SHOP --
CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
into a
watch
shop and
browses
the
watches,
for an
instant
he
forgets
he is
far from
earth
and
feels
normal,
the
store is
similar
to those
on earth
with one
exception
everything
is free.
Mike
picks up
a watch
and the
single
attended
in the
store
approaches
Mike and
asks if
he can
be of
assistance---the
human
looking
android
vocalizes
his
speech
while
talking
to Mike.
Mike
knows he
is an
android
because
the
android
has that
written
on his
name
tag.
ANDROID
These
watches
tell the
time of
any part
of the
galaxy,
or if
you wish
to know
the time
for any
specific
place in
the
solar
system
or your
particular
time
zone on
earth.
MIKE
I'll
take one
that is
set for
Central
time,
USA
please.
Android
straps
watch
onto
Mike's
wrist.
ANDROID
The
watch
will
dissolve
once you
exit the
ship and
return
to your
normal
life on
earth.
MIKE
That
sucks, I
was
hoping
for a
souvenir.
ANDROID
Will
that be
all sir?
MIKE
Yes,
thank
you.
Mike
exits
the shop
with his
new
watch
and
notices
that
only one
hour had
passed
since
his walk
in the
park
that
morning.
CUT TO:
INT.
LARGE
PLATFORM
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
further
into the
shopping
district
with a
big
smile on
his
face,
time is
on his
side,
the sun
is
shining
brightly,
and he
is on an
alien
outpost,
it can't
get
better
than
that.
Mike
couldn't
help but
notice
how
astonishingly
prominent
the sun
was, no
matter
his
location
on the
platform
the view
of the
sun was
spectacular.
There
are
other
humans
in the
streets
and in
the
shops
but Mike
is
hesitant
to stop
and talk
with
them --
apparently
they
have
that
same
reluctance
because
everyone
walks by
without
saying a
word to
him.
He walks
towards
a
fountain
that has
seating
around
it and
spots a
women
sitting
on one
of the
benches
reading
a book.
He walks
up to
her and
asks if
she
minded
if he
sat near
her. She
looked
up at
him and
spoke a
language
he never
heard
before,
it
didn't
sound as
if it
was from
earth.
He
gestured
that he
didn't
understand
and
walked
away.
Mike
went up
a little
ways and
approached
a man
walking
nearby
and
asked
him what
he
thought
of this
place
they
were in.
The man
spoke
the same
language
as did
the
women.
Mike
felt
nauseous;
he was
the
alien in
a
foreign
place.
MIKE
(Speaking
telepathically)
Milton,
what's
the deal
are
there no
humans
in this
place?
MILTON
Sure
there
are, the
two
people
you
spoke to
are
human.
MIKE
They
spoke a
very
strange
language,
one I
never
heard
before,
and it
definitely
didn't
sound
like it
was from
earth.
MILTON
Oh, I
forgot
to tell
you,
communication
with
other
humans
is not
allowed;
we don't
want
anyone
to
corroborate
their
stories
and
experiences.
Extraterrestrials
don't
exist in
the
minds of
the vast
majority
of
humans,
and we
prefer
to keep
it that
way.
MIKE
Why?
MILTON
The
usual
stuff,
premature
collapse
of
religious
institutions,
the loss
of faith
in
governments
ability
to
protect
the
people,
a
meltdown
in
financial
markets---nations
would
de-stabilize
and
anarchy
would
ensue.
MIKE
Don't
you
think
that I'm
taking
this
well,
why
wouldn't
others?
MILTON
You have
been in
the
program
for a
long
time and
are
conditioned
to us
even
though
you
don't
remember
but a
fraction
of those
encounters
because
we
blocked
most of
them
out.
Today we
are
going to
unblock
some of
your
past
association
with us
and give
you some
new
stuff.
MIKE
How many
on earth
are in
the same
situation
as I am?
MILTON
A few
million
out of a
population
of six
and a
half
billion.
MIKE
How long
have you
people---do
I call
you
people?
How long
have
you---people
been on
earth?
MILTON
We are
not
people;
we don't
procreate
as do
humans
and
other
similar
entities
that
fill the
galaxy.
We have
been on
earth
forever,
and will
remain
on earth
until
the end
of the
solar
system,
many
billions
of years
down the
road.
MIKE
How old
are you
and do
you have
a home
planet?
MILTON
We don't
age at
all; we
are pure
energy
that
inhabits
various
bodies---machines---for
the
purpose
of
interaction
with
physical
forms as
you
Michael.
We do
not have
one home
planet
we
operate
on many
levels---dimensions
if you
prefer
and
planets.
MIKE
Are you
a god?
MILTON
You
asked
that
already,
and No,
I have a
job.
There
are many
levels
of
beings
as
myself;
I'm at
the mid
level,
and
working
my way.
MIKE
Does
this
structure,
this
building
or
whatever
it is
serve a
purpose
other
that to
make
someone
as
myself
feel
very
small in
comparison
to its
awesomeness?
MILTON
It also
functions
like a
Grand
Central
Station,
from
this
place
you can
travel
to any
of the
planets
and
moons
where we
have
outpost.
Are you
ready to
take
another
ride?
MIKE
Hell
yes! Can
I take
my
camera?
MILTON
Certainly,
just
pick one
up at
the
camera
shop,
the one
you just
passed.
CUT TO:
INT.
CAMERA
SHOP --
CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
into the
camera
shop,
looks
around
and sees
hundreds
of
cameras
and
camcorders,
some
look
exactly
like
those on
earth.
The
attendant
approaches
Mike and
asks if
he needs
help.
MIKE
Which
camera
or
camcorder
would
you
recommend
for me?
And do
they use
memory
sticks
like
those on
earth?
CAMERA
CLERK
For
earthlings
I would
recommend
these
cameras
over
here,
and they
don’t
need
memory
sticks,
take as
many
pictures
as you
want.
Clerk
walks to
other
end of
counter.
MIKE
So the
cameras
we get
depend
on where
we come
from?
Why is
that?
CAMERA
CLERK
Some
people---entities,
can keep
their
pictures
and
movies
and show
them to
their
families,
friends
or
associates
back on
their
home
planets,
others
cannot.
Earth is
on the
blackout
list,
you can
take
photos
but you
can't
bring
them
back to
earth
with
you,
they
must
remain
in your
locker.
MIKE
(In an
excited
voice) I
have a
locker?
CAMERA
CLERK
Milton
will
show you
your
locker
before
you
leave on
your
trip.
Clerk
gives
Mike a
small
camera
and Mike
leaves
the
shop.
CUT TO:
INT.
HALL OF
LOCKERS
--
CONTINUOUS
Dumbfounded
Mike
finds
himself
in a
cavernous
room
filled
with
doors.
MIKE
What
happened,
Milton,
did you
transport
me to
another
place as
I walked
out of
the
camera
shop?
MILTON
No,
there
were two
doors
one next
to the
one you
entered
off the
street,
and when
you
exited
the
store I
steered
you
through
that
other
door,
which
took you
to the
locker
room, I
saved
you a
few
steps.
Walk to
the door
that is
glowing,
it has
your
name on
it and
only you
can
enter
it.
Mike
walks a
few
steps
towards
the
glowing
door,
there
are
literally
thousands
of doors
as far
as the
eye
could
see--in
both
directions
and on
both
sides of
the
cavern
from
where
Mike is
standing.
Mike
sees no
one in
the huge
place.
MIKE
Am I the
only
person
here?
MILTON
No,
there
are
others
further
down
into the
hall,
too far
for you
to see,
and
there
are some
inside
their
lockers
as we
speak.
MIKE
Inside
their
lockers?
Can they
get out?
You are
not
going to
lock me
inside a
locker
are you
Milton?
MILTON
What if
I did?
Do you
think
you have
any
control
of what
I do or
can do
with
you?
MIKE
Am I
only a
mouse to
you
Milton?
MILTON
Ever
catch a
mouse
Michael?
Not
easy,
they are
fast
little
critters
and
usually
get
away.
You are
not a
mouse,
and you
can't
get
away.
MIKE
What
happen
to
freewill,
and
human
rights,
my
rights,
don't I
have
any?
MILTON
You left
those
cushy
ideals
back on
planet
earth.
MIKE
Why are
you
wasting
your
time
with
someone
of such
little
importance
as
myself--I
have no
power,
no
rights,
no
value?
MILTON
You have
value,
immense
value
otherwise
you
wouldn't
be here.
Most
people
on earth
have
value,
power
and
rights
are
illusions.
Enter
the
locker
Michael.
The door
stops
glowing
and it
opens,
Mike
walks
in.
CUT TO:
INT.
INSIDE
LOCKER
--
CONTINUOUS
The room
is not
very
large,
about
fifteen
feet by
fifteen
feet,
the
walls
are
bright
white. A
table is
at the
center
of the
room and
on the
table
there
are a
dozen or
so wood
boxes,
they
look
like
boxes
Mike
made in
wood
shop
back in
grade
school---nothing
fancy.
Mike
walks up
to the
table
and
opens up
one of
the
boxes.
The box
is
filled
with
rocks
and
strange
objects,
and some
pictures,
pictures
of a
planet
taken
from one
of its
moons by
Mike
when he
was a
boy.
MIKE
I
remember
collecting
these
items
when I
was ten
years
old. I
didn't
know the
planet
at the
time but
I
recognize
it now
from the
pictures
as
Uranus.
From
which
moon did
I take
these
pictures?
MILTON
The moon
is
called
Miranda
on
earth.
We have
bases on
all the
moons
and you
visited
several
of them,
all
those
rocks
and
items
are from
different
Uranus
moons.
Would
you like
to visit
Uranus
now?
MIKE
We're
not
talking
anal
probe
are we?
MILTON
Before
we make
the
space
jump its
better
not to
have
contents
in you
stomach
or
intestines,
so yes.
But that
has
nothing
to do
with the
planet,
you
humans
named
it. The
probe is
painless
and if
you wish
it can
be
blocked
from
your
memory.
MIKE
Please
block it
from my
memory.
CUT TO:
INT.
SPACE
STATION
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
instantly
finds
himself
in
another
part of
the
space
station;
the
magnificent
sun
remains
prominent
and
makes
Mike
feel
giddy at
the
sight of
it.
He sees
large
crowds
of
people
lining
up,
Milton
tells
him to
get in
the
line.
Large
ships
are
docked
to the
glass of
the
structure
that is
facing
towards
the sun,
hundreds
of them.
From
where
mike is
standing
the
ships
look
like
small
filaments
attached
to the
outside
of the
glass.
The line
moves
quickly
as it
serpentines
across a
huge
platform
that
leads to
one of
the
ships.
The view
during
the walk
is
designed
to
elicit
the full
spectrum
of human
emotions
and Mike
notices
many
people
wiping
tears
from
their
eyes as
they
marvel
at the
incredible
panorama.
Mike
wipes
away
tears of
pure joy
himself,
not
wanting
to miss
a second
of the
view
from
tearing
eyes.
Some
people
have
stepped
out of
the line
and are
down on
their
knees,
as if
praying.
Everyone
appeared
to be
traveling
alone--without
family
or
friends.
There
are no
young
children
in the
line; no
one
looked
under
the age
of
eighteen.
There
seemed
to be an
equal
number
of women
and men,
some
appeared
very
old,
perhaps
in their
nineties,
but
everyone
was able
to walk
on their
own.
MIKE
Milton,
you seem
to be
with me
no
matter
where I
am, are
you
going on
this
trip and
if not
will we
remain
in
communications
as we
are now?
MILTON
I'm not
going on
that
trip I
will be
in the
vicinity
of
Saturn,
nevertheless,
we will
be in
contact
as we
are now
for the
most
part.
Distance
has no
relevance
on the
mind-wave.
The ship
turned
from a
sliver
from
when
Mike
first
got in
the line
to a
cylindrical
monstrosity
near the
point of
entry,
it is a
tanker a
hundred
plus
stories
tall and
twice as
long.
Its
color is
charcoal
black
and
nearly
invisible
in the
backdrop
of
space.
With the
sun
behind
it its
ominous
presents
is
equally
intimidating
as it is
tantalizing.
The
entry is
at the
center
of the
cylinder,
and
standing
directly
in front
of the
cylinder
one
could
only see
a large
disk,
the
platform
going to
it was
centered
to the
cylinder
and
transparent
so that
the full
view of
the face
of the

CONTINUOUS
Mike
walks
into
what
looks
like a
huge
rotating
honeycomb,
with
small
one man
compartments
running
the
length
of the
cylinder.
The
inside
of the
cylinder
rotates.
The
rotation
is like
that of
a Ferris
wheel
with
hundreds
of
compartments
on each
level.
Mike
steps
into a
compartment
and it
closes.

COMPARTMENT

CONTINUOUS
Mike
looks at
his

and
notes
that he
is into
his
adventure
about an
hour and
a half.
He is
able to
stand up
in the
compartment
but a
metallic
platform
rises
out of
the
floor
about
two feet
and
stops,
forcing
him to
sit.
Mike
sits and
is told
by
Milton
to lie
down.
MIKE
Can you
see me
Milton?
MILTON
No, but
I see
what
your
eyes
see, I
pickup
visuals
from you
along
with
your
thoughts.
I'm not
omnipotent,
although
there
are
those
above me
who
think
they
are---dry
humor.
Mike's
compartment
rapidly
fills
with a
gel and
Mike
loses
consciousness
as it
engulfs
him.

The

Uranus,

Other
cylinder

ships of
various
sizes
are
docked
at
numerous
places
on all
sides of
the
slab,
they
look

The gel
in
Mike's

into the

and Mike
instantly
regains
consciousness.
Mike
sits up
and the
compartment
door
opens.
Mike
gets up
and
leaves
the
compartment.
Mike has
no
memory
of the

and to
him it
seemed
instantaneous.

Mike
walks
behind
others
as they
emerge
from
their

They

large
glassed
in
gallery
that is
facing
the
planet
Uranus.
CUT TO:
INT.
SPACE
STATION
ORBITING
URANUS
Some
people
fainted
at the
sight of
the
planet,
Mike is
dumbfounded,
he
remembers
the
planet
from his
childhood
but it
didn't
have the
same
effect
on him
back
then as
it does
now.
Uranus'
rings
are
tilted
perpendicular
to the
planet
giving
the
impression
that the
planet
is going
through
a hoop.
The
color of
the
rings
are like
that of
a
rainbow,
Mike is
mesmerized.
Then
from
nowhere
dozens
of three
foot
tall
gray
skinned
alien
creatures
fan out
and go
through
the
crowd of
humans
that had
disembarked
with
Mike.
MILTON
Don't be
alarmed
Michael,
not
everyone
is there
for the
same
reasons.
Some of
the
humans
around
you are
under a
sentence
of sorts
and are
being
culled
from the
group
you are
with.
The
aliens
emerge
from the
crowd
each
leading
a person
with
them.
The
people
that are
being
led away
don't
look
alarmed
as if
they
understood
what is
going
on.
Michael
feels
the hand
of an
alien
grab his
arm and
leads
him away
with the
rest.
MIKE
(In near
panic)
Milton
what is
happening?
They are
taking
me!
MILTON
Remain
calm I
will
have to
investigate
to find
out what
the
mix-up
is.
Mike
tries to
pull his
arm away
and
can't
budge
it, the
small
alien
has a
grip
like a
vice and
incredible
strength.
The rest
of the
people
seem
unconcerned
and go
about
exploring
the
space
station.
Mike and
the
others
are
taken to
another
platform
and
loaded
into a
ship.
There is
about
sixty of
them,
all men,
the
oldest
is
Michael,
the rest
seem to
be in
their
thirties
and
forties,
Mike is
fifty-two.
CUT TO:
INT.
SHIP
DESTINED
TO ENTER
URANUS
ATMOSPHERE
MIKE
Milton
where
are they
taking
me?
No
answer.
For the
first
time
Michael
feels
alone
and is
terrified,
all the
pleasure
he was
experiencing
moments
earlier
has
turned
to
despair.
The ship
he is
loaded
into is
round,
about
forty
feet in
diameter
with
large
windows.
The
interior
is open
like a
large
hall. No
controls
or
seating
in that
part of
the
ship.
The
aliens
don't
enter
the
ship,
Mike is
the last
to go in
and the
opening
closes
behind
him.
Mike
kicks at
the door
and
falls to
the
floor,
the
craft
walls
are like
rubber.
MIKE
(Yelling
at the
top of
his
voice)
Does
anyone
speak
English?
No one
answers,
however
a few
looked
his way
when he
yelled.
Some of
the men
looked
out the
windows,
others
milled
around
the
ship,
and none
of them
spoke a
word.
CUT TO:
EXT.
SPACE
STATION
ORBITING
URANUS
--
CONTINUOUS
The ship
detaches
from the
station
and
appears
to free
fall
towards
the
planet
Uranus.
After a
few
minutes
it
stabilizes
and
shoots
straight
into the
planet
at a
speed
that
should
have
plastered
the men
on the
opposite
wall,
yet no
one was
affected
by
G-forces.
Mike
looks at
his
watch,
its a
few
minutes
after
twelve
noon on
earth.
Apparently
the
aliens
had
conquered
light
speed
since
Uranus
was
about
two and
a half
light
hours
from
earth.
The ship
pierces
the
atmosphere,
no
flames
from
heat
build up
splash
across
the
windows,
no heat
build up
on the
outer
surface
of the
ship is
apparent.
Mike is
not a
physicist
but he
knows
that
matter
coming
against
matter
at those
speeds
creates
friction,
which in
turn
creates
tremendous
amounts
of heat.
The ship
acts
like a
supernatural
cocoon
that
isolates
matter
from the
effects
of
matter.
The
atmosphere
is thick
with
bright
colors
that
seem to
be
amplified
by the
dim
light
from the
sun.
Mike
looks
towards
the sun
and sees
a faint
light
shrouded
in a
dense
haze of
gases.
Below
the
clouds
the ship
approaches
a solid
barrier;
it looks
metallic
and
seems to
cover a
huge
patch
above
the
planet.
The
speed of
the
alien
ship
makes it
impossible
to judge
distance
and
size.
Only a
few
minutes,
less
then
five
according
to
Mike's
watch,
passed
from the
time he
boarded
the ship
to its
destination
somewhere
above
the
planet.
The ship
flew
through
the
metallic
looking
barrier
without
stopping
or
slowing
down,
Mike was
sure the
ship was
going to
crash
into it,
yet no
one else
in the
ship
seemed
concerned.
CUT TO:
INT. A
CITY ON
URANUS
--
CONTINUOUS
The ship
attaches
itself
to a
shear
wall,
one of
the
walls
the city
is
contained
inside
of. The
door of
the ship
opens up
into a
lobby
and all
the men
file out
unescorted.
Mike is
the last
to leave
the ship
and the
opening
closes.
CUT TO:
INT.
BUILDING
INSIDE
CITY --
CONTINUOUS
The men
disappear
into the
crowds
of
people
and
aliens
that are
scurrying
around
from
place to
place.
Some of
the
people
could
pass for
humans
like
those
that
were in
the ship
with
Michael,
but
others
are
distinctly
different,
perhaps
hybrids
of some
kind.
The
lobby is
huge and
there
are many
levels
and
platforms,
Mike was
dropped
off at
the
uppermost
level.
Mike
walks
around
like a
lost
child.
For the
first
time
since
that
morning
he feels
hungry
and
thirsty.
He only
had a
light
breakfast,
and
usually
snacked
before
lunch,
but this
day he
didn't
get the
opportunity
to snack
on real
food.
He
notices
that
there is
a food
court
and
people
are
sitting
around
tables
and
eating
just
like
they do
on
earth.
But what
are they
eating
he
wonders.
He has
no
Uranus
money,
doesn't
know if
their
food is
edible
for
humans,
and what
about
bathrooms?
Mike
walked
towards
one of
the food
outlets
to see
what the
food
looked
like,
but
before
he could
reach
his
destination
something
grabbed
him by
the arm.
It was
one of
those
short
alien
creatures.
The
creature
swiftly
led him
away
from the
area and
brought
him to a
room not
far from
where he
disembarked
moments
earlier.
The
creature
put him
in the
room and
left him
there.
CUT TO:
INT. A
ROOM --
CONTINUOUS
No one
was in
the
room,
the door
had no
handles
and Mike
was
sinking
deeper
into a
state of
shock.
There
was a
table in
the room
and some
chairs,
Mike sat
on one
of the
chairs
and laid
his head
on the
table.
The door
opens
and a
human
type
person
enters
and
begins
interrogating
Mike. He
speaks
perfect
English.
INTERROGATOR
Who are
you and
why are
you here
and how
did you
get
here?
MIKE
(Showing
some
excitement
in his
voice)
Finally
someone
that
speaks
my
language!
An alien
named
Milton
sent me
here.
INTERROGATOR
Who or
what is
Milton?
MIKE
Milton
is an
extraterrestrial
I met
this
morning
on
earth,
he put
me on a
ship to
this
planet,
the ship
docked
to a
space
station
orbiting
your
planet.
After
disembarking
from the
ship the
same
kind of
creature
that
brought
me to
this
room
grabbed
me and
put me
into a
ship
that
came
here.
INTERROGATOR
So you
are here
by some
freak
accident.
A breach
of this
kind is
very
rare and
nearly
impossible,
someone
or thing
wanted
you here
and let
you slip
through
our
impenetrable
security.
MIKE
Can I
have
something
to eat
and
drink?
And if I
should
need to
relieve
myself
where do
I go?
INTERROGATOR
There
are
humans
on this
planet
but few
in this
city.
Humans
here are
quarantined
and
placed
on
special
diets
because
our
digestive
systems
are
quite
different
from
that of
humans.
Humans
have
bacteria
in the
intestines
that we
don't
tolerate
well. I
have
some
wafers
and a
special
drink
that you
can
consume,
they
produce
no
residuals
in your
system,
but they
will
give you
energy.
MIKE
How long
will I
be kept
in
quarantine?
INTERROGATOR
Until
you
leave,
which
will be
as soon
as we
receive
authorization
and
instruction
on what
to do
with
you.
There
are a
number
of
reading
materials
with
pictures
or you
can view
our
version
of
television,
the
controls
are on
the
table
with the
reading
materials.
The
interrogator
leaves
the
room.
Mike is
distraught
and
looks
for
something
that
will
take his
mind off
his
problems,
he
retrieves
the
television
control
and it
turns on
automatically.
The four
walls,
ceiling
and
floor
are
television
screens
and
light
up. Six
different
channels
play
simultaneously
and
cycle
continuously
to other
channels
and
programs.
It's a
mass of
confusion
and
Michael
put the
control
down and
it
turned
everything
off. The
language
was high
pitched
and fast
and gave
him a
headache.
MILTON
Hello
Michael.
MIKE
Am I
glad to
hear
your
voice
Milton!
Did you
fix the
screw
up?
MILTON
There
was no
screw up
it was
intentional,
I wanted
you to
get a
glimpse
of other
civilizations
in this
solar
system,
so I
directed
one of
the
androids
to take
you to
the
ship.
You were
a
stowaway.
They
don't
like us
doing
those
things
but they
tolerate
it. You
do not
pose a
danger
to them
because
we
sealed
your
digestive
track
before
placing
you into
the
transport
to
Uranus.
MIKE
I'm
fascinated
by this
place;
their
society
seems
similar
to
earth's,
except
technologically
many
decades
ahead of
earth.
MILTON
More
than
that,
they
absorb
information
rapidly;
you got
a hint
of that
when you
turned
on their
television---that's
normal
viewing
for
them.
They
breathe
air and
consume
food
that
produces
no
waste.
They eat
and
drink
small
amounts
compared
to
humans.
MIKE
Tell me
more
about
them
Milton,
if you
don't
mind.
MILTON
The city
you are
in is a
stable
society;
it
didn't
get that
way over
time it
was
created
that
way.
It's not
going to
advance
or
decline
it will
remain
stable
and the
same for
millions
of
years.
The
population
of that
city is
one
hundred
million,
not
including
androids.
Now turn
the
television
on and I
will
find a
station
for you,
and I
will
mute the
rest of
them.
Michael
turns
the
television
on; on
the
screen
is a
view of
the city
from the
outside.
The city
is
inside a
tube
like
structure
that
rises
from the
surface
of the
planet
and
extends
several
miles
into the
outer
atmosphere.
The
circumference
of the
tube is
fifty
miles.
There
are many
of these
tube
cities
on
Uranus
some
larger
some
smaller.
Inside
the tube
there
are no
cars,
buses,
trucks,
trains
or
aircraft.
People
travel
in a
complex
system
of trams
that
move
vertically
and
horizontally
and
everything
in
between.
The city
is a
wonderland
of lush
gardens
and
tropical
forests.
Because
of the
distance
from the
sun
there is
no
sunshine
however
the city
is aglow
with
abundant
light---the
source
is
unknown
to Mike
and
unexplainable
to him
it
simply
emanates
like air
and
covers
everything
like
sunshine.
The tube
cities
are not
concentrated
together;
many
hundreds
of miles
separate
each
city.
The
outer
walls of
the tube
city are
used for
habitation,
work
areas,
learning
institutions,
entertainment
complexes
and more
entertainment
areas.
There
are no
oceans
as on
earth
but each
city has
many
large
lakes,
some on
platforms
throughout
the
length
and
height
of the
tube.
Bio-diversity
exceeds
that of
earth,
there
are
innumerable
varieties
of
plants,
insects
and
animal
species
on
Uranus
and in
the tube
cities.
MIKE
Milton,
can I
apply
for
citizenship
here?
MILTON
No. Your
path is
on a
different
course.
For
instance
most of
the
people
that you
traveled
here
with on
the
transport
to
Uranus
have
been
taken to
some of
the
moons to
get
unique
views of
the
planet
but they
remain
unaware
of the
life
forms
that
exist on
Uranus.
But you
now know
more
than
they do.
MIKE
Are the
people
of
Uranus
aware of
humans
and
entities
as
yourself?
MILTON
The
whole
population
is fully
aware of
other
life in
this
solar
system
and the
life
that
exist
throughout
the
galaxy.
Unlike
on earth
where
less
than one
percent
of the
population
is aware
of
intelligent
life in
the
solar
system
and in
the
galaxy.
Mike is
engrossed
with
what he
sees in
the city
on the
screen,
there
are
tubes
within
tubes.
The
cylinder
shaped
structures
are the
dominant
designs,
whereas
on earth
the
architecture
is
primarily
rectangular.
MIKE
There is
something
strangely
familiar
about
this
city---I
have
lived
here in
the
past!
(Excitement
in his
voice)
MILTON
You
have,
you
chose to
go to
earth
and be
placed
into a
babies
body to
experience
being
human---and
for
other
reasons.
Like a
broken
dam
memories
burst
into
Mike's
mind
from his
past
life on
Uranus.
He was a
physicist,
not
married
but had
a lover.
Marriage
is not
part of
the
culture
in that
city,
nor are
children.
People
enter
that
city
fully
formed
and
aware
adults.
There is
no age
difference,
everyone
of that
species
or
category
is the
same.
Their
bodies
are
biological
machines,
they eat
strictly
for
pleasure,
and they
live for
pleasure.

RELIVING
A MEMORY
ON
URANUS
-- A
PAST
LIFE
Mike
lives in
a
spacious
and
luxurious
twenty
room
suite on
the five
thousandth
and
sixtieth
floor of
one of
the
tubes in
the
city.
Everyone
lives in
similar
units.
Floor to
ceiling
is more
than
twenty
five
feet and
balconies
protrude
out
overlooking
spectacular
views of
the
city.
There is
no
inclement
weather,
biting
insects,
noise or
crime so
everything
is open,
no
windows,
screens
or
doors.
The city
is
utopia,
no
poverty
no wars,
no
sickness
nor
death,
the
population
is
serviced
by
androids
and
other
machines.
Mike has
many
friends---there
are no
individual
family
structures
as on
earth,
in a way
everyone
is
family.
He has a
lover as
do all
of the
inhabitants
but
their
bodies
are not
anatomically
similar
to the
human
bodies.
There
are male
female
characteristics
but no
reproductive
organs,
and
genitalia
are not
as
pronounced
as that
of
humans.
All the
inhabitants
derive a
certain
pleasure
from
each
other,
there
are few
monogamous
relationships.
Mike's
main
lover is
called
Neppti.

MIKE'S
SUITE ON
URANUS
--
FIFTY-FIVE
EARTH
YEARS
EARLIER
NEPPTI
(Speaking
to Mike)
I'm
considering
taking
the B786
assignment
on
earth.
MIKE
That
assignment
is for
sixty-three
earth
years.
Why a
new
assignment
so soon?
NEPPTI
I owe
Belii a
favor;
she goes
by the
name
Linda on
earth.
She has
two
children
and a
good
husband
but is
having
problems,
I think
I can
help her
and
bring
B786 to
fruition
at the
same
time.
MIKE
Earth is
a tricky
gig,
where do
you go
from
there?
NEPPTI
They
give me
two
options,
depending
on my
performance;
I could
return
here or
advance
to
another
order on
another
star
system---to
be
determined
at
completion
of my
assignment.
Mike
embraces
Neppti
and
their
robes
fall
free to
the
floor.
Touching
bodies
is
extremely
stimulating,
kissing
and
embracing
is
mentally
orgasmic.
They
embraced
the
equivalent
of two
earth
hours,
and
rather
than
being
exhausted
afterwards,
they
emerge
rejuvenated.
Often
the
embracing
takes
place in
a pool
of warm
liquid.
The pool
is in
the
center
of the
main
room of
the
house
and is
often
used by
guest
during a
visit.
There is
nothing
taboo
about
the act
of
embracing
and is
commonly
done in
public
places;
pools
are
readily
available
for
anyone
should
they be
attracted
to each
other.
Robes
have no
purpose
other
than
appearance,
nudity
is not
an
issue.
The
people
of
Uranus
are
similar
to
humans,
only
lacking
in
similar
genitalia
and body
hair.
The
female
version
is
smaller
and
cute,
with
small
breast.
Uranus
people
are not
carbon
copies
of each
other,
bodies
and
personalities
are
unique
as
humans
on
earth.
NEPPTI
Belii is
pregnant
with a
female
child
and will
give
birth in
two
earth
months,
I will
enter
the body
and make
it my
own a
week
after
the
birth.
MIKE
I prefer
to wait
at least
a month
before
going
into a
baby’s
body;
the eyes
are more
focused
by then.
But its
been
several
centuries
since I
have
done
that and
earth is
at a
higher
level
now than
it was
back
then,
perhaps
it
doesn't
matter
that
much.
NEPPTI
You know
Mike
there
are many
projects
that
need
filling
why
don't
you jump
in and
take
one?
MIKE
There is
one
particular
assignment
that I
had my
eye on
for some
time but
I
enjoyed
being
around
you so
much I
couldn't
make the
jump.
Now that
you are
going to
be away
for a
little
time I
may do
it. But
this
assignment
has an
ambiguous
end
date, so
it could
end in
fifty
earth
years or
go much
longer.
I have
considered
it
because
it has a
good
probability
it will
parallel
yours
and best
of all
will
lead to
the same
place as
you
afterwards
otherwise
I
wouldn't
do it.
NEPPTI
Earth
has
received
a high
number
of
returns
from the
First
and
Second
World
Wars,
and they
are
getting
a huge
influx
of
undesirables
from two
other
star
systems,
these
are not
going to
be easy
assignments,
as you
know.
At that
point
Mike is
snapped
out of
his past
memories
and
brought
back to
his
present
state.
MIKE
Milton
why did
you
block my
memories
I was
enjoying
my past?
MILTON
Your
assignment
is not
complete,
and it
can
easily
be
compromised
at this
stage. I
let you
see a
little
because
you have
veered
off
track,
we hope
that
some of
the
things
you
learn
today
will
remedy
that.
MIKE
Will I
see
neppti
again?
MILTON
We'll
talk
about
that
later.
MIKE
It's
amazing
how much
the
human
type
brain
blocks
out
everything
from the
past. My
mind
nearly
froze up
from the
sheer
volume
of
memories
that
came at
me from
my
former
life.
There is
so much
more to
existence
yet
humans
have no
idea.
Why is
that?
MILTON
You know
the
answer
to all
those
questions
but
while on
earth,
certain
knowledge
would
interfere
with the
purpose
of life
on that
planet.
However,
not
everyone
on earth
has a
purpose,
many are
incarcerated
there,
they are
criminals
from
other
planets
from
other
solar
systems,
and some
are
repeats,
criminals
from
previous
lives on
earth.
Earth is
also a
vacation
destination,
many
entities--people--are
there to
enjoy
themselves---a
few know
who they
are the
rest
believe
themselves
simply
fortunate,
others,
cursed.
The
interrogator
walked
back
into the
room.
Mike sat
up
straight
into his
chair,
expecting
news
that he
would be
released
and
allowed
to go.
He had a
new
appreciation
of the
people
of
Uranus
now that
he knew
he was
one of
them.
INTERROGATOR
Mike we
have
reason
to
believe
that
your
presents
on
Uranus
has more
to do
with
human
interests
than
fluke ET
joy
rides.
I'm sure
you are
aware of
the
presents
of
humans
on this
planet,
are you
not?
MIKE
I
assumed
that
there
are
humans
in your
cities
as
guests
or
tourist.
INTERROGATOR
Very few
in that
category
because
of the
problems
I
mentioned
earlier,
humans
are
carriers
of
bacteria.
MIKE
How can
a
civilization
as
advanced
as yours
not have
a handle
on
bacteria?
INTERROGATOR
We do
have a
handle
on it we
engineered
it for
the
human
digestive
track
and have
isolated
the germ
on
earth.
Now that
humans
have
begun to
migrate
off
earth---such
as
yourself
by
supernatural
means
for
purposes
even we
don't
quite
understand,
but we
do have
contingencies
in place
for
abductees
due to
those
breaches
of
protocol.
Humans
are
showing
up in
greater
numbers
on many
moons
and
other
planets
including
Uranus,
due to
external
elements
giving
them
technology
prematurely.
MIKE
So
Einstein
was
wrong,
god does
throw
dice?
INTERROGATOR
I don't
know
about
god but
there
are many
variables
in this
galaxy,
your
being
here for
instance,
should
not have
happened.
MIKE
I was
shown
some
memories
of my
past
existence
on
Uranus,
am I not
one of
you?
INTERROGATOR
That is
information
you
shouldn't
have
been
given---if
what you
say is
true a
serious
breach
of
compliance
has
occurred.
Interrogator
leaves
the
room;
Mike is
bewildered
by what
he just
heard.
MIKE
Milton,
have you
involved
me in
some
intergalactic
conspiracy?
MILTON
Life in
general
is a
conspiracy.
There is
a large
human
presents
on
Uranus
which
has
complicated
your
situation,
I'm
working
on it.
MIKE
Can't
you
abduct
me off
Uranus
like you
did with
me on
earth?
MILTON
The
people
of
Uranus
are
highly
advanced
and can
detect
and
capture
my ship
and
detain
me if
they
find out
that I
am
behind
your
being on
their
planet.
They can
monitor
your
telepathy
but not
mine, so
don't
repeat
anything
I say to
you.
MIKE
Great! I
get up
and go
on a
simple
walk
this
morning
and now
I'm
involved
in
extraterrestrial
schemes.
The door
opens
and an
android
enters
the
room,
scans
Mike
with a
beam
emitted
from its
hand and
states
that
Mike's
bowels
remain
sealed.
Therefore
he
doesn't
require
a
containment
suit
before
leaving
the
room.
MIKE
(Sarcastically)
Fantastic,
I will
put that
information
in my
résumé.
ANDROID
Follow
me and
don't
try to
run or
escape,
if you
do I
will
catch
you and
place
you
under
arrest.
MIKE
Does
that
mean I'm
not free
to go
back to
earth?
ANDROID
I don't
have
answers
for you;
I have
been
instructed
to take
you to
another
location
in the
city.
CUT TO:
INT.
LARGE
OPEN
AREA
WHERE
MIKE
FIRST
ENTERED
--
CONTINUOUS
The
android
takes
Mike
over to
a bank
of
elevators
and they
enter
into one
of the
elevators.
They are
at one
of the
upper
most
levels
of the
city
several
miles
high,
and the
android
is
taking
Mike
down
several
floors
beneath
the
surface
of the
planet.
The
elevator
is fast,
surpassing
by many
times
the
speed of
free
fall as
it
descends,
Mike
feels
nothing
and only
a moment
passes
before
the
elevator
reaches
its
destination;
the door
opens
and Mike
and the
android
step
out.
CUT TO:
INT.
SUBTERRANEAN
LEVEL OF
TUBE
CITY --
MOMENTS
LATER
Android
walks
away and
Mike is
left
alone in
the
underground
city.
Human
looking
men walk
by
staring
at Mike.
Then
several
of them
come
over and
touch
him,
poke him
as if
they are
not sure
they are
seeing
what
they
think
they are
seeing,
and then
one
speaks
to Mike.
MAN IN
THE
CROWD
(Speaking
in
English)
You sure
look
human,
are you
from
earth,
do you
speak
English?
MIKE
(Hesitant)
I'm from
earth,
and
obviously
I speak
English.
MAN IN
THE
CROWD
You came
out of
that
elevator,
humans
are
prohibited
in that
city---you
were in
that
city---who
are you
and how
did you
get in
that
city?
Everyone
in the
crowd
looks at
Mike
intently
waiting
for his
answer.
Mike is
not sure
how to
answer
not
knowing
what he
can or
should
reveal
and
avoids
the
question,
he asks
his own
questions.
MIKE
First
tell me
what
humans
are
doing on
Uranus
when
most of
the
world
barely
believes
we have
been to
earth's
moon.
They all
look at
each
other
not sure
what
they can
confide
to him.
Then
another
man
speaks
up.
OTHER
MAN
Bet you
are
hungry?
MIKE
They
gave me
some
wafers
and told
me that
humans
are not
allowed
to eat
normal
food
because
of the
bacteria
in our
system.
I'm not
hungry
but are
you
saying
that you
can eat
normal
human
type
food
down
here?
OTHER
MAN
In this
area you
can eat
anything
you
want,
never
heard
about
bacteria
being a
problem
before,
have any
of you
guys?
Everyone
shook
their
heads
no,
still
looking
at Mike
as if he
were a
strange
anomaly.
Another
man who
introduced
himself
as Joe
spoke up
and asks
that the
others
go about
their
business
while he
speaks
with
Mike.
The
crowed
dispersed;
their
curiosity
still
peaked
as some
talk
amongst
themselves
as they
walk
away.
JOE
Let’s go
where we
can talk
without
drawing
a crowd.
There is
a pub
down a
ways
from
here.
The area
they are
in looks
like a
shopping
and
entertainment
district
where
one can
get
basic
supplies
and some
diversions.
Mike and
Joe walk
the
equivalent
of two
blocks
and
enter
the pub.
It was a
typical
pub but
didn't
have the
variety
of
drinks
found in
most
modern
drinking
establishment
on
earth.
There
are
stools
around
the bar,
and
tables
and
booths.
A
billiard
table
and some
pinball
machines
and a
jukebox
were
located
in the
center
of the
room.
CUT TO:
INT. PUB
--
CONTINUOUS
Joe and
Mike sit
at one
of the
booths
and an
android
hands
them
menus.
Mike
takes
one out
of
curiosity
and
looks
through
it Joe
orders a
beer.
MIKE
(Surprised)
Hamburgers!
Fish!
Don't
tell me
you guys
have
cows and
oceans
up here!
JOE
All our
food
comes
from
earth,
it gets
special
processing
and
packaging
and we
receive
shipments
twice a
week.
MIKE
What the
hell are
humans
doing on
Uranus?
And how
is it
possible
to
travel
that
distance?
JOE
Since
you have
to ask
me those
kinds of
questions
I can't
give you
the
answers.
The
important
question
for me
is who
are you
and how
and why
are you
here?
MIKE
An
extraterrestrial
brought
me here.
JOE
That's
how we
get
here; we
call it
the ET
express.
There
are
several
thousands
of
humans
on this
planet
but I
can't
give you
an exact
number
because
no one
knows
it.
There
are
covert
operations
within
covert
operations,
and then
to
complicate
things
further
there is
you. We
have
been
told
that no
human
can
enter
the city
that you
came out
of---there
isn't a
man or
women---yes
there
are
women
here,
which
would
give
their
right
arm to
see what
you have
seen. So
what is
in that
city?
MIKE
It's you
basic
utopia,
they
live
exquisite
lives.
The city
is void
of all
the
problems
that
plague
humans
on
earth,
war
sickness,
disasters,
poverty;
they
don't
have any
of that.
They
seem to
know all
the
answers
that
have
eluded
humans,
well
most of
them
anyway.
And all
of
earth's
technology
comes
from
them---if
you can
believe
that.
JOE
I
believe
it, all
our
equipment,
the
androids
and the
cities
we
humans
inhabit
were
made by
them
also,
yet we
don't
interact
directly
with
them. We
communicate
through
the
androids
but the
androids
don't
tell us
anything
about
their
masters.
However,
we are
participating
in the
construction
of a
satellite
city
orbiting
Uranus.
It's
primarily
a
learning
experience
for
us---everything
here is
a
learning
experience.
MIKE
How did
you get
picked
for this
assignment?
People
don't
just up
and
disappear
from
earth if
they
have
family
and
friends,
can
they?
JOE
Thousands
of
people
disappear
every
year
without
a trace
from
earth;
those
are
statistics
they
gave me
when I
was
approached
for this
assignment.
I was an
officer
in
Special
Forces
in
Vietnam
when
they
made me
the
offer.
I'm an
only
child---I
was
told,
and
raised
by my
grandparents
who
passed
away
shortly
after I
joined
the
army,
never
knew my
father
or
mother
and I
had no
wife or
children
of my
own. I
went
down as
missing
in
action
and the
next
thing I
know I
was on a
spaceship
to
Uranus---talk
about
doing a
mind job
on my
head,
that did
it. I
have
been
back to
earth
several
times
under a
new
identity.
I
received
my PHD
in
sociology
at an
Ivy
League
university
enrolled
as a
foreign
exchange
student.
Mike is
sitting
with his
back to
the
front
door and
remains
distracted
by Joe's
story.
One of
the men
that
encircled
Mike
earlier
walked
into the
pub
holding
a club
behind
his
back.
The man
looked
at Joe
to
acknowledge
that he
should
make his
move.
The man
slowly
walked
up
behind
Mike and
hit Mike
over the
head
with the
club.
Mike
drops
off the
seat and
Joe and
the man
pick
Mike's
limp
body up
and they
carry
him into
a
freight
elevator
in the
back of
the pub.
The
elevator
goes
down
several
floors
and
stops.
Joe and
the
other
man pull
Mike's
limp
body out
of the
elevator
and
leave
him on
the
floor a
few feet
away and
get back
in the
elevator.
CUT TO:
INT.
CAVERN
UNDER
TUBE
CITY --
LATER
A few
minutes
go by
and Mike
regains
consciousness.
He feels
the back
of his
head and
there is
a little
blood
and a
large
painful
lump. He
looks
around
not sure
where he
is---then
he
remembers
he is
not on
earth.
He
thinks
to
himself
that
there
appears
to be no
one in
the
solar
system
he can
trust.
His
sanity
is
teetering
on the
edge of
madness.
He finds
the
strength
to pull
himself
up and
staggers
a few
feet
before
he
straightens
up
completely.
There is
indirect
light in
the
cavern
with no
apparent
source,
not
bright
just
enough
to see
his way
around.
Many
large
object
fill the
part of
the
cavern
he is
in, they
look
like
machinery
encased
in a
smooth
metallic
material.
No sound
or
vibrations
comes
from the
objects.
A
painful
silence
hangs in
the air;
Mike
feels
utterly
alone
and
becomes
severely
depressed.
He looks
at his
watch
and it's
only
five PM
on
earth---and
still
the same
day. He
believes
that his
watch
must
have
stopped
working.
He feels
like he
has been
away
from
earth at
least
two or
three
days if
not
longer.
MIKE
Milton
can you
hear me?
I'm
tired of
all this
fun and
games
what is
the
motive
behind
all this
secrecy?
I don't
care
that
humans
are on
this
stinking
planet,
I don't
care
that
intelligent
life
other
than
humans
exist,
give me
back my
normal
fucking
life!
No
answer.
Mike
walks
back to
the
elevator
and goes
to push
the
button
but
there
are no
buttons.
The
elevator
operates
through
some
other
means.
Now he
is
hungry
and
thirsty
but
doesn't
even
know if
he can
eat
because
he has
been
plugged---"what
a crazy
day this
has
been"---he
yells
out in a
desperate
voice,
while
standing
facing
the
elevator.
He turns
around
and
walks
out into
the
cavern
looking
for
another
way out.
The
cavern
goes on
seemingly
forever,
there
are big
tubes
and
pipes
running
along
the tall
ceilings
and the
machinery
looking
objects
are
everywhere.
He has
walked
for
thirty
minutes
and
hasn't
seen
anyone,
or a way
out, the
scenery
remains
the
same, he
is tired
and
weak,
and
presses
on.
The
floor or
ground
of the
cavern
is a
solid
and
smooth
material
similar
to
concrete
floors
and is
black,
the
walls
and
ceiling
are gray
and also
of a
concrete
material,
floor to
ceiling
is about
fifty
feet.
Off in
the
distance
of the
cavern
Mike
spots
something
that is
moving
towards
him,
it’s a
vehicle
and
moving
very
rapidly.
An
android
is
operating
it; it
comes to
a stop
in front
of Mike.
ANDROID
Get in.
Mike
gets in;
the
machine
goes
back in
the
direction
it came
from at
a rapid
speed.
It’s a
hover
type
craft
with no
steering
mechanism
or other
visible
controls;
it seems
to be
operated
by the
android's
computer
brain.
Mike
doesn't
speak to
the
android
because
the
androids
never
give him
useful
information.
The
vehicle
approaches
what
appears
to be a
solid
wall,
and
without
slowing
down
continues
towards
the
wall.
Mike
braces
himself
for
impact
but at
the last
possible
moment
an
opening
appears
and the
vehicle
shoots
through
it and
the
opening
closes.
DISSOLVE
TO:
INT.
HUMAN
TOWN --
AFTERNOON
Mike
sees a
bustling
futuristic
city
with
humans.
The
vehicle
continues
into the
city
where
the
streets
are
filled
with
similar
vehicles
operated
by
androids.
There
are no
stop
lights
at the
intersections
and the
vehicles
stream
in both
directions
without
stopping
or
slowing---in
perfect
synchronization.
It took
a few
intersections
before
Mike
stopped
flinching
every
time
they
came to
one.
The
whole
city
with its
sky high
buildings
is
subterranean.
There is
artificial
light
that
shines
as
bright
as the
sun. The
light
rays
felt
like
they
were
coming
from the
sun. It
was a
beautiful
sunny
day
below
ground
level on
Uranus!
The city
was huge
and
completely
different
in
appearance
than the
tube
cities
above
the
surface.
This
city had
a human
feel and
look to
it,
identical
in
architecture
and
street
layout
to
cities
like
Chicago
and New
York.
The
android
gives
Mike a
tour of
the
city.
There
are high
rise
apartments
and
office
complexes
and away
from the
core of
the city
there
are
suburbs
with
single
family
homes
and
green
yards
with
landscaping.
They
have
school
buildings
and
parks---lots
of parks
and
walking
trails.
There
are
thousands
of acres
of lush
forest
with
walking
and bike
trails.
They
even
have a
prison.
Mike was
not
surprised
having
been
mugged
by a
couple
of tugs.
ANDROID
I'm not
authorized
to give
you
human
food and
drink
but I
can give
you some
wafers
and
special
drink,
would
you like
some?
MIKE
Yes I
would,
thank
you. By
the way
are you
taking
me
somewhere
in
particular
in this
city or
only
killing
time
before
you kill
me?
ANDROID
I'm
killing
time
until I
receive
further
instructions,
is there
somewhere
or
something
you
would
like to
see in
this
city in
the mean
time?
MIKE
I would
like to
walk on
the
trail in
the
forest
if I
could.
The
android
makes a
beeline
to the
forest---the
vehicle
can fly
as well
as
hover.
The
android
parks
the
vehicle
in the
parking
area and
lets
Mike
off.
ANDROID
I will
remain
here and
come and
get you
when I'm
notified
to bring
you in.
MIKE
No
hurry.
There
are
women
and men
with
baby
strollers,
people
riding
bikes,
people
walking
and
jogging
on the
trail.
It’s a
clear
blue sky
day and
sun is
shinning
brightly---yet
there is
no sun
in the
sky.
Mike
feels as
if he is
on
earth,
the only
give
away is
that the
parking
lot is
filled
with
strange
looking
vehicles
chauffeured
by
androids.
The
temperature
is a
perfect
seventy-eight
degrees
Fahrenheit.
Mike
knows
that
because
his
watch
displays
the
temperature.
CUT TO:
EXT.
FOREST
IN HUMAN
TOWN --
EVENING
Mike is
walking
on a
trail
that
cuts
through
the
forest.
Some of
the
trees
tower as
high as
Sequoia
trees in
California.
The same
types of
trees
that he
has seen
on earth
are here
and many
he has
never
seen.
The
climate
is
tropical
and
there
are many
verities
of
plants
and
trees,
most of
them
with
colorful
blooms
and
fragrance.
The
insects
glow in
the
darkness
of the
forest
canopy
and
large
moths
and
butterflies
with
colorful
flapping
wings
give a
hint of
fairyland
to the
forest
atmosphere.
Mike is
enjoying
his walk
but
can't
forget
what
happened
to him a
few
moments
earlier
and
touches
his head
were he
was hit
to
verify
that it
did
happen,
the bump
has
shrunk
but
remains
sore to
the
touch.
That
doesn't
make
sense to
him what
are tugs
doing in
paradise?
He
thinks
to
himself.
The walk
in the
woods
has
completely
relaxed
Mike and
he
wonders
what's
next, he
is
somewhat
giddy
with the
thought
despite
the
mugging.
Twenty
minutes
have
passed
and an
android
riding a
two-seater
bike
pulls up
next to
Mike.
ANDROID
Jump on,
its time
to go.
Mike has
grown
found of
the
android,
even
though
it's
only a
machine,
and one
that
appears
to have
no
emotions
or
concerns
for
those
they
serve,
but they
are
examples
of
efficiency
and this
one has
a
likable
quality
to it.
They
ride
back to
the
parking
lot and
get into
the
vehicle.
The
android
takes
Mike to
an
office
building
on the
outskirts
of the
city, he
drops
Mike off
at the
entrance
and
tells
him to
report
to room
502 and
wait
there.
CUT TO:
INT.
ROOM 502
--
CONTINUOUS
Mike
enters
the
office
with 502
on the
door, no
one is
in the
reception
area,
Mike
sits
down on
one of
the
chairs.
MIKE
Milton,
if you
can hear
me let
me know,
I have a
wife at
home and
she is
going to
wonder
where
the hell
I am,
can I
get a
message
to her?
No
answer
from
Milton.
A woman
enters
the room
dressed
in a
laboratory
gown and
asks
Mike to
come
with
her. She
looks
familiar
to Mike
but he
can't
place
her.
Mike
gets up
and
follows
her.
MIKE
You look
familiar
do I
know you
from
somewhere?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Yes we
have met
before.
They
walk
down a
long
hallway
and
enter
one of
the
rooms.
It looks
like an
operating
room.
Mike
gets a
knot in
his
stomach
and
becomes
apprehensive.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Relax
Michael
this is
routine
you have
done it
a number
of times
before.
MIKE
I have
no idea
what you
are
referring
to, and
if I
have
done
this so
many
times
why
don't I
remember?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
You are
involved
with an
invisible
society,
a secret
society,
and it
must
remain
that
way.
We've
had a
few
glitches
this
time
around
and you
are
still
alive
only
because
you have
one hell
of a
powerful
team
working
on your
behalf.
Those
men were
meant to
eliminate
you
instead
you only
ended up
with a
bump on
your
head.
Someone
had put
a block
on the
communications
implant
you have
in your
body and
for a
brief
time we
lost
contact
with
you.
MIKE
So how
did you
find me?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
We
activated
a backup
implant
but
because
they can
monitor
implant
signals
we
waited
until
the last
minute
and made
our
move.
MIKE
So games
continue
to be
played
even at
these
levels?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
It's
more
complicated
than
that,
human
bodies---which
are
nothing
more
than
complex
machines
have
antibodies
built in
to fight
off
germs
and
other
intruders.
Physical
entities
regardless
of how
complex
and
advance
remain
subject
to
viruses---for
instance
silicon
based
electronic
computers
are
susceptible
to
viruses
and a
host of
other
maladies.
MIKE
Is that
why
Milton
isn't in
constant
communication
with me?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Partly,
he is
constantly
changing
his
telepathic
frequencies
to
remain
incognito.
Remove
all your
clothing
Michael,
and lay
down on
the
table,
on your
back,
please.
Mike
takes
off his
clothes
and gets
on the
table.
Two
androids
come
into the
room.
One of
the
androids
clamps
Mike's
arms to
the
table
and the
other
clamps
Mike's
legs.
MIKE
Is this
necessary?
You are
freaking
me out.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
I told
you to
relax,
and look
on the
screen
on the
wall to
your
right.
The
screen
displays
an X-ray
of
Mike's
abdomen.
There
are
several
objects
inside
his
intestinal
track.
MIKE
How did
those
things
get in
my gut,
Jesus
Christ
people,
are you
telling
me that
I'm
nothing
more
than a
courier
of alien
objects?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Your
body
synthesizes
certain
enzymes,
it’s a
unique
machine
you are
in
possession
of,
that's
partially
why you
are in
this
program.
The
android
that
clamped
down
Mike's
legs
directs
a probe
that
came out
from the
bottom
of the
surgical
table
and
inserts
it into
Mike's
rectum.
Mike
squirms
and
tries to
pull
lose
from the
table,
yells
obscenities
and
before
he knew
it the
procedure
is over.
WOMEN
TECHNICIAN
Look at
the
screen
Michael,
the
items
are out.
Now that
didn't
hurt
much did
it?
MIKE
(More
obscenities---then)
No it
didn't
hurt but
the
whole
idea is
repulsive---thank
you!
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
All in a
day's
work
Michael,
I didn't
think it
was
repulsive;
after
all, the
human
body is
simply a
machine,
no
deferent
than the
android.
Emotions
and
desires
are
programs
installed
into the
human
brain.
And you
are a
soul in
the
cockpit
of the
machine.
Your
soul---you---are
simply
pushing
buttons
inside
the
control
room---your
brain,
but you
are not
your
brain or
your
body.
MIKE
Are you
finished
playing
with my
machine?
Or is
there
more---do
I get
cargo
for the
return
trip
also?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
No cargo
from me
but
that's
not to
say you
are
returning
to earth
empty.
They
will
probably
block
that
memory
if they
do
insert
items in
your
abdomen,
but I'm
not
blocking
this
memory
because
Milton
told me
to leave
it
intact.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
While
you are
on the
table I
would
like to
extract
semen
from
you---the
natural
way,
have any
objections
Michael?
Not
waiting
for Mike
to
answer
she
slips
out of
her robe
revealing
a
gorgeous
body.
Mike's
attitude
quickly
changes
and he
is under
her
seductive
spell.
The
androids
remove
Mike's
shackles
holding
him to
the
table
and they
exit the
room.
MIKE
God you
are
beautiful.
And he
reaches
up and
takes
her arm
and
pulls
her onto
the
table---which
automatically
lowers
to the
floor
and they
roll
around
on the
soft
floor
embraced
in
passionate
ecstasy.
Moments
later
and
after
copulation,
they
remain
embraced.
MIKE
Are you
presently
seeing
anyone---I
mean are
you
married
or have
someone
special
in your
life.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
I'm not
that
kind of
girl. I
have a
modified
human
body but
I'm not
human,
neither
are you
Michael,
but I
think
you know
that---how
much you
know I'm
not
sure.
MIKE
I was
allowed
to
remember
a brief
period
of my
life in
the tube
city and
I
remember
going to
earth
and
being
inserted
into
this
body two
weeks
after it
was
born.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Your
semen
from
this
encounter
will
produce
triplets,
two
males
and a
female.
I will
not
carry
the
babies
to term.
The
embryos
will be
inserted
into
three
women in
this
city and
they
will
carry
the
babies
to term.
I as
well as
you have
the fun
and easy
part---don't
you
agree?
MIKE
I'm
liking
it. So I
have a
modified
human
body as
you do,
and
these
bodies
propagate
behind
the
scenes
without
the
knowledge
of
"real"
humans?
Will
humans
ever
know
about
this?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
There
are some
humans
that
suspect
something
is amiss
because
of
abduction
stories
about
missing
fetuses,
and the
taking
of sperm
and ova,
but the
general
population
will
remain
in the
dark
about
it.
She gets
up and
pulls
Mike up
and
while
holding
his hand
leads
him to a
room
with a
shower
stall in
it.
Takes
him into
the
shower
and
washes
him
down,
Mike
returns
the
favor.
The warm
water in
the
shower
makes it
seem
like
heaven
and soon
they are
embraced
and
making
intense
love
again.
MIKE
(Between
kissing)
Do I
have to
go back
to
earth?
Please
say no.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
This is
a
freebie
Michael,
and is
frowned
upon by
the
higher
ups. Yes
you have
to go
back to
earth,
but not
until
I'm
through
with
you!
The
water in
the
shower
stops
and the
shower
glows
brightly
for a
few
seconds
and they
are
instantly
dry.
They
walk out
of the
shower,
the
woman
holding
Mike's
hand
leads
him into
an
adjacent
room, it
looks
like a
kitchen
area,
she
leads
him to a
chair
and he
sits,
they
remain
naked,
she goes
to a
refrigerator
and
takes
out a
bottle
of
liquid
and
gives it
to him
to
drink.
MIKE
What is
it?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Nectar
reserved
for the
gods.
Try it
you will
love it.
MIKE
I'm a
god?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
You were
in the
shower---giggles.
Mike
takes a
drink
and
jumps up
from his
chair
unable
to
restrain
his joy
from the
first
sip of
the
liquid.
MIKE
WoooooW...!
And then
takes
another
mouth
full of
the
precious
drink.
MIKE
This
isn't
going to
hurt me
is it?
How much
of it
can I
drink?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
You can
drink as
much as
you
want;
the
fridge
is full
of it.
MIKE
(Between
gulps)
How come
you are
not
drinking
any of
this
stuff?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
I'm on
the
clock.
MIKE
Do you
usually
walk
around
naked on
the job?
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Only
when I
want to
keep
someone
aroused,
Are you
aroused
Michael?
Mike is
sitting
back on
his
chair
and she
walks
over to
him
holding
something
in her
clasped
hand.
She
stops
inches
in front
of him,
her
breast
nearly
touching
his
face.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Do you
want to
suckle
from
them?
Mike
sets his
drink on
the
table
and is
all over
them as
if they
are
manna
from
heaven.
Mike is
at the
boiling
point of
arousal
and she
pulls
away and
puts the
objects
she is
holding
seductively
into his
mouth
one at a
time
with her
fingers
and
closes
his
lips.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Swallow
them
Michael.
He does
as she
says; he
is
intoxicated
with
sexual
ecstasy
and the
drink.
She
gives
him a
passionate
kiss,
pulls
away and
hands
him back
his
drink.
WOMAN
TECHNICIAN
Drink
all of
it
Michael.
Mike
upends
the cup
and
empties
it,
hands it
back to
the
woman.
But
before
he can
ask for
more he
melts
into her
arms---he
is out
cold.
CUT TO:
EXT. ONE
OF
URANUS'
MOONS --
LATER
Small
alien
outpost
consisting
of a
dozen
glass
domed
structures,
interspersed
within a
ten acre
area.
They are
not
connected
to each
other.
Mike is
lying on
a bed in
one of
the
domes.
The
domes
are
different
sizes,
from
twenty
feet in
diameter
to sixty
feet.
Mike is
alone in
one of
the
small
domes.
DISSOLVE
TO:
INT.
INSIDE
DOME --
CONTINUOUS
Mike
regains
consciousness
and
through
the dome
he has a
grand
view of
the
planet
Uranus.
MIKE
(Loudly)
My
GOD!!!!
It just
keeps
getting
better!
This is
the best
view of
the
planet
he has
had so
far.
Mike has
full
recollection
of his
episode
with the
woman
technician
but he
has no
memory
of
traveling
to that
moon. He
looks at
his
watch
and it’s
about an
hour
past the
last
time he
remembered
looking
at it,
moments
before
he was
probed.
Mike
feels
great,
no after
effects
of that
alien
wine he
drank
and
remains
reclined
on the
bed
admiring
the
planet
and its
spectacular
rings.
A few
minutes
pass and
Mike
sees
Milton's
ship
hovering
above
his
dome,
off to
the
side. It
appeared
from
nowhere.
It moves
closer
to the
dome and
the edge
of the
craft
touches
the
glass
dome.
Where it
touches
a seal
is
created
and then
an
opening.
Mike
remains
laying
on the
bed
intently
watching
this
miracle
unfold
before
him.
Milton
jumps
out and
slowly
lands
next to
where
Mike is.
Milton
is in
his
alien
costume.
MIKE
Why
would I
want to
go back
to my
life on
earth
after
what I
have
seen and
experienced
today?
MILTON
I can
erase
all of
it from
your
memory
if you
like.
MIKE
NO! That
is if I
can keep
the
memory I
want it.
MILTON
Good,
because
we want
you to
keep
these
memories,
they are
part of
your
assignment
on
earth. I
will go
into it
in more
detail
later.
MIKE
What are
humans
doing on
Uranus?
MILTON
Same as
they are
doing on
earth
and
other
planets
and
moons,
in this
solar
system
and
millions
of other
solar
systems---learning
to find
and
define
their
place in
the
galaxy.
Some
will do
it in
the
course
of a few
lifetimes
others
in
several
lifetimes---some
will not
make it
and be
put into
storage
for
special
treatment,
some
indefinitely.
MIKE
Put into
storage?
Are you
talking
about
souls?
MILTON
Your
soul is
anchored
to your
body.
Without
a body
the soul
would be
free to
go
wherever
it
wishes.
The body
is a
prison
that is
escape
proof
short of
death---but
there is
a
loophole.
Furthermore
no one
dies
until
they are
allowed
to die.
Suicides
are
returned
to
another
body
somewhere
in this
solar
system,
unless
there is
an
acceptable
reason
for the
act. You
Michael
are on
assignment
and will
return
to
Uranus
once it
is
complete
and you
die. And
after a
short
time you
will be
leaving
this
solar
system
altogether
and
going to
a double
star
system
deep in
the
interior
of this
galaxy.
MIKE
How is
it
possible
to
travel
those
kinds of
distances?
MILTON
It isn't
possible
while in
a human
body.
MIKE
So I
have to
die
before I
leave
the
solar
system?
MILTON
No, you
only
have to
leave
your
body
behind
until
you
return.
Milton
exits
his body
and it
falls to
the
floor
like a
rubber
suit.
Milton
is now a
brilliant
orb of
energy
about
the size
of a
baseball
floating
next to
the bed
Mike is
lying
on. Mike
jumps
off the
other
side of
the bed
and
stands
there
looking
at
Milton
as if he
is
looking
at a
ghost.
MIKE
How much
of this
can my
mind
take in
one day?
MILTON
If you
were a
normal
human I
would've
had to
scrape
you off
the wall
after
the
first
encounter
on
earth.
But you
came
from an
advanced
stage
with a
purpose
and a
mission,
and you
can
handle
these
things.
Your
mission
would be
compromised
had you
known
who you
were
because
if you
knew
then
others
would
know and
they
would
have
stopped
you and
us from
completing
our
work.
And the
work is
never
done.
MIKE
Now that
I know a
lot more
than I
did
yesterday
what is
to stop
them who
ever
they
are?
MILTON
You are
nearing
the end
of your
mission
and we
will
have to
take our
chances
with the
little
info we
have
given
you. The
only way
I can
describe
"them"
is a
two-party
political
system
like you
have in
America.
Both
parties
want the
same
thing
for the
American
people
but they
disagree
on the
method.
It's
actually
more
complicated
than
that but
until
you are
higher
up there
is no
way you
will
understand.
MIKE
I'm
standing
here
talking
to a
glowing
ball of
light,
what
more is
there to
understand?
MILTON
It gets
better---are
you
ready to
take off
your
ball and
chain?
MIKE
Is that
a
euphemism
for you
are
going to
kill me?
MILTON
Dying is
the only
other
way to
get out
of that
body you
are in.
But I
have the
authority---the
key to
open
your
brain
and
release
you from
the
tethers
holding
you in
there
without
killing
you.
MIKE
The
whole
idea is
freaking
me out,
can I
have
some of
that
wine
that
woman
gave me
back on
Uranus
before
you do
it? It
made
everything
feel so
good; I
had no
cares no
fear---as
I do
now.
MILTON
You
won't
feel a
thing.
Milton
pops
next to
Mike,
touches
Mike's
head,
Mike's
body
drops to
the
floor
and two
glowing
balls
are in
the dome
next to
each
other.
MIKE
My mind
feels
the same
but I am
much
lighter.
I
presume
that
crumpled
up body
on the
floor
was me?
It
doesn't
look
like me.
Should
you lay
it on
the bed
or
something?
MILTON
Yes
lets,
you grab
the arms
and I
will get
the
legs.
MIKE
Grab
with
what?
I'm a
freaking
fuzzy
ball of
light
for
crying
out
loud!
Milton
moves
towards
Mike's
human
body
laying
on the
floor
and
grabs
his
legs,
Mike
floats
around
the room
gently
bouncing
off the
glass
dome and
back to
the
floor
and up
again
towards
the
dome. He
is like
a loose
basket
ball in
slow
motion
but much
smaller.
MILTON
When you
get
through
monkeying
around
you can
give me
a hand
with
your
body
Michael.
MIKE
How do I
control
my
direction?
MILTON
Oh,
that's
right
you have
never
done
this
before.
Focus on
where
you want
to be
and you
are
there.
Mike
slowly
drifts
near his
body
hits the
floor
like a
bank
shot on
a pool
table
and
drifts
back up
towards
the
ceiling.
Milton
picks up
Mike's
body by
the legs
and
lifts
him off
the
floor.
Mike's
limp
body
dangles
from a
ball of
light---Milton.
Milton
positions
Mike's
head on
one end
of the
bed and
slowly
maneuvers
the rest
of the
body
onto the
bed.
The moon
they are
on has
very
little
gravity
but the
artificial
gravity
inside
the dome
is
similar
to that
on the
planet
Uranus,
which is
slightly
less
than
that of
earth,
but
enough
to
provide
a sense
of
normality
to
humans.
Mike is
up
against
the
glass at
the
domes
apex,
simultaneously
looking
at
Uranus
and
watching
Milton.
MIKE
Cool! I
can see
in
panorama!
But
what's
keeping
me from
going
through
the
glass?
It feels
like a
solid
surface,
but
aren't
we like
ghosts?
Shouldn't
we just
pass
through
things?
MILTON
You
can't
see
yourself
but you
are the
size of
a
quarter.
The
level of
awareness
determines
our
energy
aura.
You are
twice
that of
the
average
person
on earth
but
considerably
less
than
where
you need
to be to
attain
autonomy.
You will
achieve
it in
your
next
stage,
not
Uranus
but the
place
you will
go soon
after
you
return
to
Uranus
once
your
assignment
is
compete
on
earth.
MIKE
So Freud
was
right
size
does
matter?
MILTON
You
should
have
been a
comedian
Michael,
you are
good at
it. But
yes size
makes
all the
difference
when it
comes to
knowledge
and
awareness.
You can
penetrate
the
glass
barrier
by
willing
yourself
through
it but
then
what?
You will
drift
into
space---you
might be
able to
find
your way
back to
places
you have
been on
Earth
and
Uranus
but then
what
would
you do?
Haunt
your old
hangouts?
MIKE
Are you
saying
that
ghosts
are
people
without
guides---souls
lost in
space?
MILTON
They are
entities
without
a
destination,
they are
lost---but
there is
more too
it, and
an item
you will
learn
more
about in
your
next
phase of
existence.
Suffice
it to
say that
you need
a guide
like me
now that
you are
out of
your
body.
Without
a
destination
we drift
helplessly,
regardless
if you
are in a
physical
form or
a
"freaking
ball of
fuzzy
energy,"
as you
put it.
I'm
going to
take you
across
the
galaxy
to a
star
system
many
hundreds
of light
years
away so
stay
close if
you
don't
want to
get
lost.
MIKE
Don't
mess
with my
fuzzy
ball
mind
Milton,
seriously
you
wouldn't
leave me
behind
if I
became
separated
from you
somehow?
You did
lose
track of
me while
I was on
Uranus
remember?
MILTON
I never
lost
track of
you
Michael;
that was
a ploy
to throw
others
off the
trail.
Besides
you are
not free
to go
anywhere
on your
own
while
out of
your
body,
you are
under my
charge
and
responsibility.
You
couldn't
get away
from me
even if
you
tried.
You can
only
drift
away
from me
perhaps
a
hundred
feet in
any
direction
before
hitting
an
invisible
barrier.
In
essence
you are
chained
to me
for your
protection.
MIKE
That
information,
although
somewhat
reassuring
in this
big
vacuum
of never
ending
darkness
is
nevertheless
an ego
buster.
MILTON
Follow
me
Michael.
Milton
moves
through
the
glass of
the dome
as if it
wasn't
there.
Mike
follows
squinting
as he
nears
the
glass,
anticipating
that he
will
bounce
off it,
instead
he plops
through
it.
Milton
flies
around
Uranus
into its
atmosphere
and out
again,
then he
goes
through
the
rings
with
Mike in
tow,
they
circle
around
each
moon
going
low to
the
surface
on some
of them.
MIKE
This is
too
much, I
feel
like a
god I'm
in
heaven.
Thank
you
Milton!
MILTON
Don't
thank me
I just
work
here.
MIKE
So, we
are
going to
travel
great
distances
without
a ship?
MILTON
Ships
slow you
down.
Nothing
travels
faster
than the
free
spirit.
However
there
are many
kinds of
ships,
some
travel
intergalactic
by
making
dimensional
leaps,
some use
magnetic
wave and
there
are a
number
of other
exotic
means of
getting
physical
matter
from
point A
to point
B. But
the
movement
of
"matter"
requires
much
energy
and
moving
matter
great
distances
is not
necessary.
Matter
is
everywhere
and it
can be
manipulated
on
location.
CUT TO:
EXT.
FULL
VIEW OF
MARS
FROM
SPACE --
CONTINUOUS
Two
orbs,
Milton
and Mike
in orbit
around
the
planet
Mars.
MIKE
Whoa how
did we
get here
so fast?
So you
blink
and we
are
there?
MILTON
We can
fly like
Superman
and
travel
slowly
through
the
solar
system---take
the
scenic
route,
which I
recommend
when you
have
more
time but
we are
on a
schedule
so I'm
blinking
our way
across
the
solar
system.
Is there
any
planet
you
would
like to
see
before
we shoot
out
towards
the
center
of the
Milky
Way
Michael?
MIKE
Take me
to the
stars
Milton.
CUT TO:
EXT.
SUPER
CLUSTER
OF STARS
--
CONTINUOUS
In an
instant
Milton
and Mike
are 99.5
percent
to their
destination.
They are
five
light
years
from a
solar
cluster
and many
thousands
of light
years
away
from
earth.
They are
deep
into the
darkness
of space
and
quite a
distance
from any
objects
like
planets
moons or
stars
except
for the
cluster.
The
cluster
contains
thousands
of stars
and the
whole
area
glows as
one.
Joy
beyond
human
comprehension
engulfs
Michael,
and his
quarter
size
aura
blazes
like a
super
nova
into the
size of
a
basketball.
MILTON
This
whole
cluster
of stars
and the
thousands
of
planets
that
encircle
them is
the
Disney
World of
the
Milky
Way
galaxy.
If you
could
imagine
heaven
from the
perspective
of the
human
mind and
multiply
that by
a
thousand
you
would be
near the
reality
of those
who live
here.
This is
a
destination
all
souls
from
planets
like
earth
long to
achieve.
However
this is
not the
pinnacle
of
existence,
not even
near it.
This is
a
physical
paradise
and
there
are many
dimensions
of
physical
and
spirit
type
realities
above
this one
that
reside
here.
This
place is
also
used as
a
staging
area
where
many of
the
people
who
leave
earth
and
earth
type
planets
will
come for
a short
time.
And most
will be
sent to
other
planets
in the
galaxy
or back
to
earth. A
lucky
few will
remain
indefinitely
or until
they
move
higher
up the
ladder.
MIKE
Why do I
get to
see all
this?
Why am I
privy to
the
things
you are
sharing
with me?
MILTON
There
are
forces
that
don't
want
this
information
in the
open.
And
there
are
others
that
feel the
people
of earth
are
ready
for this
knowledge---not
everything
but the
basics---that
life
exist in
many
places
in the
solar
system.
We, the
entities
I work
with
want
faster
technological
growth,
the
others
don't.
We are
in a
vicious
stage
over
ideals
such as
these.
We have
sustained
heavy
losses
on our
side; I
have
taken
you out
here to
protect
your
physical
life.
You are
a
vessel,
a
container
as are
thousands
of
others
on earth
where we
keep
certain
DNA
information
and
pertinent
mental
imaged
knowledge---that
is
retrieved
by us
for use
on
earth.
MIKE
If I
understand
this
correctly
I and
others
like me
are part
of a
shell
game
between
your
forces
and the
others.
You hide
information
within
us and
shuffle
us
around
so that
we
remain
concealed.
Tell me
Milton
do you
and
those in
your
group
try and
infiltrate
the
other
side
with the
same
zeal?
MILTON
We have
made you
difficult
to tract
down but
we have
covered
our bets
by
hiding
similar
information
in
others,
nevertheless
each
have
unique
information
which
can only
be
deciphered
with the
correct
combination
of
individuals
as
yourself,
so we
keep you
people
scattered
all over
the
solar
system.
We
increased
our
efforts
to
shield
you and
the rest
these
last few
years,
even
going as
far as
exposing
you as a
bluff to
thrown
them off
your
tacks.
We don't
operate
as they
do, they
are
attempting
to keep
information
and
technology
out of
earth or
slow it
down
significantly,
and so
they
have
nothing
to hide
other
than
their
motives.
MIKE
Is this
a
galactic
Cold
War? And
if I
were
captured
what
would
they do
with me?
MILTON
That's a
fair
analogy
unfortunately
our Cold
Wars
never
end. If
you are
captured
they
will
most
likely
attempt
to put
you in
storage
for a
certain
period,
they
could
kill
your
body but
then
your
soul
would be
freed
and you
could
join us
on a
higher
level,
and they
don't
want
that.
MIKE
Why
couldn't
they
capture
my soul
like you
have?
For
instance
you have
taken me
out of
my body
and now
I'm
tethered
to you.
MILTON
They
can't
capture
your
soul
they
lack the
authority
and
capability
to do
so.
Every
entity
or soul
if you
wish, is
classed.
You
Michael
are at a
level
that
they
cannot
hold on
too, but
they can
capture
your
physical
form and
hold you
for a
certain
amount
of time
while
they
attempt
to erase
information
from you
and
destroy
anything
you are
carrying
inside
of you.
CUT TO:
EXT. A
MULTIPLE
STAR
SYSTEM
--
CONTINUOUS
In a
blink
Milton
takes
Mike to
a planet
with
multiple
suns
revolving
around
each
other
like the
innards
of an
atom.
The
planet
they are
going
to, as
is
Uranus,
is on
the
furthest
orbit in
that
particular
solar
system.
There
are
twenty
planets
and
hundreds
of moons
in the
system.
a flurry
of
interplanetary
travel
is going
on with
many
types of
colorful
ships
coming
and
going to
and from
the
moons,
space
cities
and
other
planets
in that
multiple
solar
system.
The
ships of
various
sizes
look
like
strings
of
confetti
at a New
York
parade
from
Mike's
vantage
point
above
the
planet.
MIKE
Is there
something
going on
down on
the
planet
or is
that
normal
traffic?
MILTON
This is
typical
traffic,
are you
ready to
join in
the fun
Michael?
They
drop
like
lead
weights
from
thousands
of miles
above
the
planet
and
enter
into a
cube
type
structure.
Inside
the cube
are
several
swarms
of
entities
of
various
degrees
of
luminosity
swarming
like
bees
around a
hive.
Milton
heads
for one
of the
swarms
with
Mike in
tow.
It's an
orgy of
pure
love,
happiness
and
fulfillment.
Mike
instantly
remembers
those in
the
swarm,
they are
friends
and
family
from
other
life
times
and
places
during
his
existence
in the
galaxy.
Communication
is
phenomenal;
he is in
contact
with
each
individual
in the
swarm
all at
the same
time. He
is fully
aware of
hundreds
of
entities
and they
are
fully
aware of
him.
It's non
stop
pleasure,
no
disagreements,
no
misunderstanding;
it is
social
engagement
in pure
form.
Some are
there
briefly,
a short
break
from
there
lives on
other
worlds,
as is
Mike,
others
have
been
there
for
hundreds
or
thousands
of earth
years.
Mike
feels as
if he
never
really
left,
like he
woke up
from a
dream.
The
swarm is
a family
reunion
that
never
ends;
individuals
come and
go like
electrons
from an
atom,
but the
nucleus
remains
intact.
Millions
of such
cubes
cover
the
planet.
Outside
of the
cubes
are many
physical
kinds of
bodies
as well
as many
levels
of
spirits.
Every
conceivable
way of
life is
represented
on the
planets
and
moons in
that
solar
system
as well
as on
the
millions
of other
solar
systems
in the
cluster.
Mike
realizes
that
Milton
is
family
and one
with a
very
close
attachment
to him.
He also
realizes
that he
is not
tethered
to
Milton
and is
free to
go
wherever
he
pleases.
Mike
fades
away
from the
party
and
instantly
goes to
one of
his
favorite
places
on that
planet.
He finds
himself
in a
luxurious
house,
with
marble
columns
and
fabulous
paintings
on the
walls.
The
house is
reminiscent
of the
Renaissance
period
in
Florence
Italy.
Mike
remains
a
radiant
being
but
feels as
if he is
inside
of a
body
like the
one he
has on
earth.
He looks
and sees
his
hands,
and he
walks as
if he
has
legs, he
walks
out into
the
courtyard.
There
are
trees
and
gardens,
birds
chirping
and
butterflies
dancing
in the
midst of
flowers.
The suns
shine
brightly
in the
noon
sky.
Mike
spots a
woman
tending
the
garden
and
walks
over to
her. She
looks up
with a
large
smile on
her face
and
grabs
Michael's
face and
kisses
it all
over.
WOMAN IN
GARDEN
Michael
I heard
you were
here and
I
summoned
you to
come
visit
and here
you are,
how
wonderful
you
look!
MIKE
Grandmother!
Its been
ages yet
now it
seems
only
yesterday
that I
was
playing
in your
garden
as a
child.
You look
the same
as you
did back
then,
young,
beautiful
and full
of
energy.
GRANDMOTHER
It's a
pity you
must
leave so
soon but
your
time
away is
short
and you
will be
back
here for
a long
time---I'm
looking
forward
to your
quick
return
Michael,
there
are so
many
things
we must
talk
about.
Mike's
grandmother
sees him
in a
physical
form as
if he
were in
his
physical
body.
MIKE
Where is
grandfather,
does he
live
with
you?
GRANDMOTHER
He is
living
on
another
planet
in the
galaxy
and will
not be
released
for
another
fifty
earth
years. I
don't
know at
this
time if
he will
come
here or
go to
another
life. I
visit
him
sometimes
in his
dreams.
MIKE
But you
are in a
physical
body;
can you
also
travel
in the
spirit?
GRANDMOTHER
I can
with the
assistance
of
family
members
like
Milton---the
same way
you are
here
with me
now---you
do know
that you
are in
my dream
right
now
don't
you?
Mike is
stunned
at
hearing
that.
MIKE
I'm only
a dream
to you?
GRANDMOTHER
Not like
dreams
on earth
Michael,
when we
dream we
are
awake---we
don't
sleep
here.
Nevertheless,
I am in
a
physical
state
and you
are a
spirit.
But I
can see
and
touch
your
spirit
as if
you were
in a
physical
body.
It's
impossible
to
explain
these
things
to you,
your
mind
remains
blocked
from
most
things
until
you
return
to this
place.
MIKE
Do you
miss
grandpa,
your
husband,
while he
is away?
GRANDMOTHER
Sorrow
has no
place in
this
plane of
existence
because
no one
really
departs.
It's no
different
than
someone
on earth
going
off to
work and
then
returning
that
evening.
Time has
no
relevance
either,
we exist
in a
blissful
state,
enjoying
the
company
of
family
as I am
now with
you, and
doing
the
things
that I
love,
like
attending
my
flower
gardens.
I also
enjoy
beautiful
artwork
and
architecture
and as
you can
see I
surround
myself
with the
things I
love---everyone
here
does.
She
kisses
him and
gives
him a
big hug
and he
is
instantly
transported
back to
Milton.
MIKE
(Speaking
to
Milton)
I'm sad
that I
didn't
get more
time to
speak
with
grandmother,
couldn't
I have
stayed
just a
little
longer?
MILTON
It is
not
allowed,
but the
moment
she
realized
you were
here she
insisted
on
seeing
you and
she
brought
you to
her.
MIKE
Why
wasn't
she in
the
swarm
with the
other
family
members?
MILTON
The
family
is much
larger
than
what was
in the
swarm.
You have
family
in many
places
and on
many
levels
both
physical
and
spirit
domains.
Your
grandmother
remains
in a
physical
region
by
choice,
on a
planet
in this
system
that is
nearer
to the
sun.
Milton
retracts
from the
swarm
and Mike
is
pulled
with
him.
Mike is
once
again
attached
to
Milton.
They
pause
above
the
planet
briefly.
Mike
feels
the pain
of
departure
that
inflicts
many
when
they
part
from
loved
ones.
MIKE
Do you
feel the
sadness
I am
feeling
right
now
Milton?
MILTON
I feel
the pain
for you
but I am
with
them
much of
the
time---I
am not
departing
from
them as
you are.
You are
returning
to a
world
where
many
live in
darkness,
in my
world I
am never
far from
the
light of
family
love. I
do my
job and
at the
end of
the day
I know
everything
is good
regardless
of the
outcome
on
places
such as
earth.
In your
present
state of
existence
much
remains
hidden
from you
Michael,
but
that's
all by
design.
However,
you now
know
parts of
the big
picture
and you
will
retain
these
memories
when I
return
you to
earth--a
rare
privilege.
CUT TO:
INT.
INSIDE
DOME ON
URANUS
MOON --
CONTINUOUS
Mike's
body is
sleeping
soundly
on the
bed.
MIKE
Do I
have to
go back
into
that
thing?
MILTON
Afraid
so, you
have
work to
do and
it will
not get
done
until
you do
it.
Milton
gets
into his
body,
grabs
Mike's
orb and
shoves
it into
Mikes
head.
Mike's
body
jumps
back to
life.
MIKE
I feel
like a
ton of
bricks,
this
body
sucks,
can I
lay here
and
recuperate
for a
bit?
MILTON
That's
the
problem
of being
outside
of your
body for
any
length
of time;
the
longer
you're
out of
it the
more
difficult
it is to
readjust
to it.
MIKE
This is
like the
worst
hangover
I can
remember,
is there
something
I can
take for
it?
MILTON
Believe
it or
not the
discomfort
you are
experiencing
is the
best and
quickest
way to
readjust
to the
body.
Also
your
body
needs to
heal
from
your
absence.
You are
most
likely
feeling
all
tingly
and numb
like
your leg
feels
when it
goes to
sleep.
MIKE
I do
feel
that
way, but
why, my
heart
continued
to pump
blood to
my body,
and my
body
looked
like it
was
sleeping
peacefully
before I
reentered
it, like
a car
left
idling,
so why
do I
feel
like a
truck
ran over
me?
MILTON
Your
body was
peaceful
Michael
but
that's
only
good for
the
dead,
you need
to move
around
while
you
sleep,
rotate
the body
so that
blood
doesn't
stagnate
or get
cutoff
in
certain
areas.
Without
your
spirit
inside
the body
the body
is
technically
dead, no
dreams
or
movements
take
place.
You
haven't
been out
of your
body
more
than
twenty
minutes
therefore
no
lasting
damage
was
done.
Had you
been
away
much
longer a
mechanical
masseuse
would
have
went to
work on
your
body,
massaging
it to
stimulate
blood
circulation.
MIKE
If there
is an
android
or
mechanical
masseuse
in this
place
why
didn't
it pick
up my
body and
place it
onto the
bed, why
did you
have to
do it?
MILTON
I wanted
to
demonstrate
to you
that
spirits
have the
ability
to move
solid
objects.
Although
you were
an orb
of pure
energy
you had
the
capacity
to lift
your
body and
affect
other
physical
objects
as well.
MIKE
Why not
ship my
body
back to
earth
and let
me fly
there
and then
join up
with it
there?
MILTON
I could
do that
if you
weren't
carrying
certain
objects
inside
of your
body.
You have
been off
the nest
long
enough
and must
return
to your
body to
keep
things
from
spoiling.
MIKE
Sit on
the
nest!
That
sounds
so not
right.
MILTON
The few
minutes
you were
out of
your
body
were not
critical
but the
objects
need to
be wired
to your
spirit
mind to
remain
viable.
MIKE
What is
it that
I'm
carrying
inside
of me
Milton?
MILTON
It's
something
that
will
chew its
way out
of your
chest
once we
enter
earth’s
atmosphere,
and
spread
rapidly
like a
super
virus
infecting
the
whole
planet---just
kidding!
MIKE
How do I
know you
are
kidding,
you may
have
implanted
all
those
memories
about
family
into my
head,
how can
I be
sure of
anything
after
seeing
what you
are
capable
of
doing,
you are
at the
very
least a
wizard
but you
also
have the
power
and
knowledge
of a
god.
MILTON
We have
to keep
an
element
of doubt
alive in
you for
this
operation
to
remain
viable.
Getting
you back
to earth
is not a
slam
dunk.
And if
you are
captured
by the
other
side its
best
that you
have
fragmented
knowledge
of the
operation.
They
don't
extract
information
by
interrogation;
they
scan
every
cell in
your
brain
and body
looking
for
patterns.
From
these
biological
and
psychological
finger
prints
they can
determine
where
you have
been,
for
instance
other
planets
and
places
in this
solar
system
or even
if you
left the
solar
system.
The food
you have
consumed,
the air
you
breathe,
and the
gravitational
pull on
your
body are
all
clues to
your
journey.
My job
is to
try and
remain
one step
ahead of
them.
MIKE
If I'm
captured
can't
they
simply
remove
the
items
inside
of me
during
my
abduction
and then
wipe my
memory
of it.
MILTON
You are
past
that
stage;
they
can't
simply
drop in
and
abduct
you and
then
turn you
lose as
if
nothing
ever
happened.
These
items
are
wired
into you
and can
only be
extracted
by us.
Their
main
concern
is
stopping
what you
have
from
entering
earth,
they
probably
will not
kill you
but they
will
damage
the
items if
they
can, and
then
take
you.
Depends
on who
gets to
you
first, a
human
covert
organization
or
aliens.
Your
body is
designed
to
transport
these
things,
humans
may not
pick up
on that
fact but
other
aliens
can. So
the
items
are not
what is
in
danger,
you are.
MIKE
Why
don't I
get
round
the
clock
protection
from
your
people
Milton?
MILTON
We have
to keep
our
distance
otherwise
we will
give
your
location
away. We
are
easier
to
detect
than you
are, and
where
there's
smoke
there is
fire---you.
MIKE
When are
we going
back to
earth?
MILTON
Soon, it
is
simpler
to get
out of
earth
than to
get in.
We are
taking a
direct
flight
into
earth,
like a
cannon
shot, as
soon as
everything
lines up
we go.
MIKE
So I'm
not
returning
to earth
the way
I got
here?
MILTON
No, you
are
traveling
in my
ship
this
time.
MIKE
That
little
thing
has the
power to
travel
long
distance
at more
than the
speed of
light?
MILTON
That
little
thing
manipulates
gravity
and
magnetic
waves
which
cause it
to
become
very
slippery
inside
the
fabric
of
space, I
will
explain
it in
more
detail
to you
some
day. Now
let’s
enter my
ship.
Milton
levitates
into the
opening
of the
ship,
which is
docked
to the
dome and
points
at Mike
from
inside
the ship
and
levitates
him into
the
ship.
MIKE
Wow,
where
can I
get a
finger
like
that
one.
MILTON
Perhaps
on your
next
assignment.
CUT TO:
INT.
INSIDE
OF SHIP
--
CONTINUOUS
Once
Mike is
inside
the door
closes,
Milton
walks
toward
the
center
of the
ship and
an
opening
occurs
in the
corridor
wall a
split
second
before
he walks
into it,
Mike
follows
him.
Milton
takes
him to a
room;
the room
has four
compartments
in it
like the
ones in
the
large
transport
that
Mike
rode to
Uranus.
MILTON
Get into
one of
these
compartments
Michael.
Mike
gets
into a
compartment
and it
closes
and
fills up
with a
foamy
substance.
The ship
pulls
away
from the
glass
dome and
vanishes
into the
darkness
of
space.
Moments
later it
pierces
earth's
atmosphere
and the
craft
hovers
next to
Mike's
car in
the
parking
lot of
the
park.
It's
dark
except
for the
dim
light of
two
street
lights,
there
are a
few cars
off away
from
where
Mike's
car is,
teenagers
are
making
out
inside
them,
some are
sitting
on their
cars and
on the
grass
drinking
and
smoking.
No one
notices
the ship
hovering
next to
Mike's
car.
Mike
jumps
out of
the ship
which is
about
two feet
from the
ground,
and he
gets
into his
car. His
space
watch is
gone and
his
regular
watch is
on his
wrist
displaying
the time
that he
entered
the ship
that
morning.
Mike
shakes
his head
in
disbelief,
starts
the car
and the
clock on
the dash
shows
the
current
time,
10:25
PM.
The ship
darts
away,
Mike
pulls
out of
the
parking
lot and
drives
home.
CUT TO:
INT.
MIKE'S
HOUSE --
NIGHT
Mike's
wife
Debbie
is
sitting
in the
living
room
reading
a book
when
Mike
walks
through
the
door.
MIKE
Hi
honey,
sorry
I'm
late, I
was
abducted
by
aliens
this
morning
while
walking
in the
park,
and they
just now
let me
go! (In
a
playful
tone)
DEBBIE
Oh, so
that's
where
you
were,
your
office
called
and made
up some
cockamamie
story
that you
were
with
some
clients,
I didn't
believe
them.
MIKE
(Mike
laughs)
Anyway
I'm
tired,
are you
ready
for bed?
DEBBIE
Yes,
let’s
go.
She puts
down her
book,
turns
off the
reading
lamp and
they
head up
the
stairs
to the
bedroom.
At the
top of
the
stairs
Mike
grabs
her and
gives
her a
passionate
kiss.
Debbie
is
surprised
by his
affection
and
melts
into his
arms.
DEBBIE
I guess
you are
not all
that
tired?
No
answer
Mike
picks
her up
in his
arms and
carries
her into
the
bedroom.
He puts
her down
next to
the bed
and
removes
her
clothes,
she
unbuttons
his
shirt.
They
tumble
into bed
and fall
in love
all over
again.
The love
is
passionate
and
magical
and
continues
for more
than an
hour and
then
they
both
fall
asleep
embraced
in each
others
arms.
CUT TO:
INT.
KITCHEN
--
MORNING
Mike is
sitting
at the
table in
a nook
off the
kitchen
drinking
coffee
and
reading
the
newspaper.
He is
only
looking
at the
paper
but his
mind is
absorbed
in what
he
experienced
the day
before.
Debbie
comes
into the
room
still in
her robe
pours
herself
a cup of
coffee
and sits
down at
the
table.
DEBBIE
What was
that all
about
last
night?
Was that
you or
someone
else?
MIKE
Not
sure, as
a matter
of fact
not sure
about
lots of
things
this
morning.
DEBBIE
What's
that
suppose
to mean?
Last
night
was
wonderful,
now
you're
talking
as if
you are
going
through
a life
crisis.
She
reaches
over to
him and
clasps
his hand
in hers.
DEBBIE
I want
you to
tell me
that it
was you,
that the
fire is
still
alive in
our
relationship.
Did
something
happen
at the
office,
did you
lose an
important
account,
you can
tell me.
MIKE
No
nothing
like
that,
and the
fire is
far from
going
out,
however
last
night
was a
bit of a
surprise
to me as
well.
DEBBIE
Then
what is
it that
is
bothering
you?
MIKE
You know
I have
mentioned
being
abducted
in the
past by
extraterrestrials
well, it
happened
yesterday.
DEBBIE
(Sarcastically)
I know
you are
an alien
honey, I
have
known it
since I
married
you.
She gets
up from
the
table
goes to
the
refrigerator
and
pulls
out a
carton
of eggs
and a
package
of
bacon.
DEBBIE
Feel
like
breakfast?
MIKE
Yes
please,
haven't
had
breakfast
at home
in
sometime;
sounds
great,
do we
have
bread
for
toast?
Without
waiting
for an
answer
Mike
gets up
from the
table
and
rummages
through
the
cabinets
as if he
was
unfamiliar
with
where
things
are in
the
kitchen.
DEBBIE
Don't
bother
looking
we are
out of
bread,
we
hardly
ever use
it so I
stopped
buying
it. I
assume
you are
not
going to
the
office
this
morning
since
you’re
still
here?
MIKE
Yes I'm
taking
the day
off, or
maybe
the
whole
week, I
need to
hash out
something
in my
head.
DEBBIE
Good
maybe we
can go
out and
do
something
together,
but I
have a
strange
pain in
my
abdomen
that was
bothering
me all
night so
I'm
going to
call my
gynecologist
and see
if she
can get
me in
this
morning
for a
quick
checkup.
MIKE
Why
didn't
you tell
me about
the pain
last
night?
We did
get a
little
out
there,
perhaps
you
pulled a
muscle?
DEBBIE
That's
why I
didn't
say
anything
but the
pain has
increased
so it
wouldn't
hurt to
see what
she has
to say.
MIKE
Well ok,
let me
know
what she
tells
you and
perhaps
later on
in the
day we
can go
out and
do
something
together.
Mike
finishes
his
breakfast
gets up
from the
table,
kisses
his wife
on the
forehead
and goes
downstairs
to his
study.
MIKE
Milton
can you
hear me?
No
answer.
Mike
would
like to
dismiss
his
experience
as a
dream
but he
can't,
he
wasn't
asleep,
he went
strait
to the
park
yesterday
morning
after
having
breakfast
at his
favorite
café.
He was
now in
possession
of
information
that
would
change
the
perception
of the
world,
mainly
religion
and
history.
What to
do with
that
information
was now
on his
mind.
DEBBIE
(Shouting
from the
kitchen
down to
Mike)
Honey I
talked
to my
gynecologist
and she
said to
come in
his
morning,
she
seemed
concerned
with
what I
told her
so I'm
going
now,
talk to
you when
I get
back.
Mike
runs up
the
stairs
to catch
her
before
she
leaves.
MIKE
Do you
want me
to go
with you
dear?
DEBBIE
No, I
will be
fine.
And
blows a
kiss to
him,
Mike is
standing
in the
stairway.
Mike
returns
to his
den to
continue
pondering
over his
new
reality.
CUT TO:
INT.
MIKE'S
DEN --
LATER
Mike is
sitting
in his
den
alone
when he
hears
the
front
door
open,
Debbie
is back
from her
appointment,
she
walks
down the
steps to
where
Mike is
and
stands
in the
doorway.
MIKE
(Looking
up from
his
computer
screen)
Did they
find
anything?
DEBBIE
The
gynecologist
found
some
strange
bumps in
my
uterus,
but as
she
examined
them
further
they
detached
and she
was able
to
extract
them
with an
instrument.
The
moment
she
removed
them the
pain in
my
abdomen
went
away.
She
showed
them to
me, they
were
dime
size
cysts.
Everything
else
checked
out
fine.
Mike
gets up
out of
his
chair
and goes
over to
her and
gives
her a
hug.
MIKE
That's
great
honey,
that
leaves
the
afternoon
for us
to do
whatever
you
want.
CUT TO:
INT.
GYNECOLOGIST
OFFICE
--
CONTINUOUS
GYNECOLOGIST
(Telepathically)
Milton I
have
extracted
the
embryos
from
Debbie I
can
insert
one at 2
PM and
the
other at
3 PM,
does it
matter
which
woman
gets
which or
are they
identical
embryos
this
time?
MILTON
They are
identical.
The
embryos
that are
replaced
will be
picked
up when
you tell
me they
are
ready.
GYNECOLOGIST
They
will be
ready
shortly
after
the
second
appointment.
